Smoking Outside the Ground - Time to be banned

Look, as a smoker I honestly don't get why most smokers get so up in arms. I'm literally putting toxic vapor into the air around kids, so I'm more than happy to move as far as people want for me to do my own selfish action. It is not a right when you impeed on someone else's rights just because you can't be arsed moving for 15 minutes to relax instead of 13... When I smoked bud back in the day I'd have about two places in total where I could do it and that was harming no one, so the smoking restrictions still seem very liberal to me.
If you need a new place to smoke bud, let me know.

As a non-smoker I couldn't care less where you smoke.

That's totally fair, but clearly most in society do. Personally I feel bad putting smoke clouds out there around people because I know what it did to me as a kid when my dad unwittingly did so to me. I think it is pretty easy to stroll over to the grass to avoid staff at the stadiums also being smoged up, as I also used to work security at etihad and walking around the stadium during the game can get very annoying for some (personaly I'm so used to the smell I like it, but I know that isn't the case for most.)

But no, just let me have my JPS here, I can't be ****ed going over another 50 meters...

:p

I am a smoker and am generally very hesitant in smoking in public areas, as I know there's a lot of people that like fresh air and not the smell of smoke, which is fair enough.

But after a gut full of beer at the footy and my team getting belted that all goes out the window, and I'll smoke in public where I damn well please... and you best not say a damn word about it!

kids with their mobile phones these days, they will more likely get cancer from the radiation by the time of their 50th birthday's so I'm sure a bit of cigarette smoke won't be harming them in the long run.

I wonder if all these non smokers here complaining about secondary smoke also drive cars? Wouldn't want to be ones contributing to toxic contaminants polluting my beautiful air I breathe.
Because my cigs bring society the revolutionary ability to travel in such short time that we could fundamentally change the work force and increase quality of life, right?

Why don't they just ban smoking altogether? It is such a joke. Cigarettes are legal but there are only a few places on earth where you can smoke them.

As a smoker I think that's a very fair thing to say from the limited research I have seen. Does that help or have any relevance in anyway in shaping what should happen in the OPs complaints? Or in general?
Not really re the OP.

There is an irony though given the exorbitant cost of smoking. If youre a pack a day that would set you back, what $400 a fortnight? Thats massive against a minimum wage
