So - did Dimma lose the players?

Or at least some of them?
Many times over the past couple of months we posted on here that the insipid performances were as a result of the coach 'losing the players'...
With an unprecedented number of guys now looking to get out, including at last count 3 first round draft picks... you could assume the so called great atmosphere and morale within "the four walls" was in fact not as great as stated?

I know, I know... another 'bash the coach' thread but this is more a "bash the RFC culture" thread...

Have 3 first round draft picks ever all wanted out of a club before - ever?

Only one of them has been able to get on the park, and even then was the perennial whipping boy.

Conca, Ty and Lennon should net us 3 second round picks. This is exactly the sort of players we should be trading out IMO.

Not ideal to lose so many 1st round picks, but all three have proven to be questionable choices at best.

If we lose Jack or lids, then start worrying about the coach losing the players...

Our own version of the go home 5 haha.

Priority pick please.

Vickery - average player. Good luck to him elsewhere
Conca - potential but always injured. We need a starting 22 player that actually plays to improve.
Lennon - woe is me wunderkid. Various injuries and ailments restricted his potential game time this year. Still crying over the elim final? Go ask lloyd how he got over it.

Honestly we can afford to loose all 3. And take the picks to the draft.

Honestly, I am not buying the hamstring issues recently for Conca this year. They appeared convenient and strategic. I think hamstring excuses was utilised to hide other problems

That is why they got rid of Chocco. His work on hook turns wasn't successful.

Plays his favorites no doubt. If you are on the outer, no chance to get a decent crack at with Hardwick. I see a very stubborn man that's set in his ways.

That's why imo he has no chance of turning our game style and therefore performance around next year. He is just too inflexible.

Maybe the AFL will make yet another rule change that will suddenly, make our drab chip it sideways gamestyle a winner.:)

Go ask lloyd how he got over it.

Gold. Summed it up beautifully.

And while the last two games would suggest he lost the players, the preceding two games vs Geelong and Coll suggest the opposite. So who would know?

My problem with losing all three is our list build was counting on these top picks coming through. Before you say well they were in and out this year, also note we finished close to the bottom. Don't expect that to change quickly bringing in a new crop of kids all over again, this list is beginning to get the donut age profile that killed off Wallace.

Spot on. These 3 are first round picks and if we lose them, they will leave a huge hole in our list. Not because they were contributing as first rounders but because it would mean we are down 3 first rounders on our list. And as we have seen...depth is king.

I hope to christ our list doesn't implode in a few years with no success to show for it. 5 AA players and we may not even win a final:(

100% he did.
He's also lost the plot.
Did he have a plot to lose to begin with?

Once he lost the excuse of being a young developing team after 2012.... We missed a massive opportunity to get an experienced coach in to take the team to the next level. Great 2IC but not a coaches arseh*le.

He's definitely lost the players, so many went backwards this year, it's no coincidence. His game plan sucks, they don't want to play it.

Imagine when your boss hands you some work and tells you to do it a specific way that is just wrong..... He continually insists on it, you fail to deliver a good result following his instruction. Your boss would lose your respect
