So - did Dimma lose the players?

Rance unhappy according to Bradley
Beating drums. Well I would of thought so considering what he had in terms of support.

Take that plonker with a grain of salt, about 10% of what he says is fact. As bad as Wally and McClueless when it comes to making shit up (or taking BF rumours as gospel)

FWIW, my POV, sack Hardwick, output next year goes up 10% on state of mind and happiness alone.

Good post,

Hardies comments were at least entertaining , and it's pretty obvious that Rance is unhappy at the moment. Well, what normal person would be happy at RFC, except Dimma who appears to on high loading of anti-depressants...

Most of the players don't love him. He has about six favourites.
The rest he would hardly look straight in the eyes . Most of the blokes there would rather be in a team coached by a bloke who offers a future to them and the team.
The mollycoddling eventually wears thin especially once failure and mediocrity sets in. DH seven year honeymoon is over.

Haha. What a crock of horseship.

The reality is simply this. The reason our coach is still our coach is due to the players love for him. Hardwick has many weaknesses, that is clear but his one over riding main strength is his relationship building with the players. Yeah a minority may not like the coach but in which organisation everyone loves the boss ? Not many, hell, even the vatican has priest hating the pope :p

Again, if Hardwick was not as loved and respected by the playing group, he would have got the ass. That lends itself to the million dollar question. If they love him and clearly they do IMO why in some games this year they ran the white flag so quickly ?

They can love him and not believe in him at the same time. They can like him and want to play for him whilst also feeling a sense of resignation that he's not putting them in a good position to actually compete.

Most fans who've turned up throughout this shitful year would have a similar line of thinking. Love the club, but no faith in it not to let us down through incompetence.

Rance is DHs #1 fan by a country mile....

Don't reckon Cotch much of a DH fan- certainly no where near as much....but as captain he remains "loyal"

I guess Bellis would be another favourite considering he has never been dropped
Houli...Lids...Grimes...

Did u see Dusty and Trent on" "Thats good for footy"?
Dusty- very natural, being himself.
Cotchin- sounded like he was Dusty's biatch.

I hope to christ our list doesn't implode in a few years with no success to show for it. 5 AA players and we may not even win a final:(
we have seen success, its just that richmonds qualifications for success are lower than all other clubs because of how shit of a club we have been for 40 years.

the list has already imploded. if you were thinking that we could see any legitimate success in the next few years you will be sorely disappointed.

Hardwick didn't lose the players. Hardwick lost his grip on footballing reality.

'Dimma's Dissection' will go down as one of our club's most deluded video archives we will ever have.
When I watch Dimma's excuse riddled video wash-up of each Round, I soon become aware that Dimma and myself were at 2 different games.
(and I've seen more games of live football than Damian Hardwick)

Only 10% ?

Very conservative.

I love it when you open your mouth as it almost guarantees I will be right and I applaud you for this
DH love . Get a grip of reality. See you later and thanks again

This is the key question - has this ever happened in the one season?????

Brisbane lost 3 in 2014, and 2 second rounders too:
  • Polec, pick 5
  • Docherty, pick 12
  • Longer, pick 8
http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-ne...-it-on-at-their-new-clubs-20140627-zsnjv.html

The article has this amazing statement - "Ten of the club's last 19 first round draft picks have "gone home" (the average for Victorian, West and South Australian clubs was two) and five of the remaining nine have left for other places and reasons." That's 15 of their last 19 first round picks! Hooley dooley...

And the AFL might even give them two this year to squander.

my take on it is as a person they love dimma, but as a coach they have lost faith in him.also take into account that before the sydney game the players new there were certain coaches who were getting the chop.there young adults alot of them would of been close to those coaches and been abit down, its only human nature.as for dimma i like the guy and think he would make a great assistant coach but he has had his time in charge time for a change.

Ahh - not that long ago then... although, it was the Lions. Who wouldn't want to leave them!

Hehehe, Leppa and Voss, apparently. Must be the ranga genes.

A Carlton supporter also gave an example from last year:

How about last year: Yarran Menzel and Henderson.
Menzel didn't really want to go but had to be let go.

You might have figured out how to ignore all Carlton supporters, and might not have seen it. I'd do the same if I could, although this Harker fellow doesn't seem like a knob.

That's three clubs in three years! Higher than I would have thought. There must be some seasons where three former first rounders all retire, too.
