Apparently he and Sally have gone splitsville, hence delaying the announcement.

Cant say i blame her.

You could imagine the dialogue:

Wayne: "Babe i've decided I wanna play with the Pies next year!"

Sally: "Thats it Wayne, i'm leaving."

Wayne: "What?! But I thought things were sweet again Sal! I thought we'd saved our marraige! Why now?!"

Sally: "Wayne, i could handle you being a dumb, arrogant bastard all these years. I could handle you grabbing that sheila's norgs back in 95. I could handle you shagging your best mate's wife. But i just pointblank refuse to be anyway involved with the Collingwood football club. A girl's gotta have principles you know!"

LOL. Nice one Carlos :D

One quote from the article I found interesting (and good)

Collingwood's position, while still prominent, is thought to have weakened since a meeting between Nixon and the Magpie hierarchy last week.

During the meeting it is understood Nixon explained that Carey could lose entitlements worth as much as $600,000 - the amount of money owed to him by the Kangaroos - if the Roos were not adequately compensated.

It is believed the Roos will contest the amount of termination money Carey is claiming if, for instance, he demands to be traded to a particular club at a cheap price, as the Magpies might have hoped.

If the Carey camp are taking this threat seriously (and it looks like they are) it can only help our bargaining position.

If antone thinks that a negotiating team involving Mick Aylett is a pushover then they have their head in the sand.

Remember the early 70's and the early 80's VFL.

Eddie is in for a shock.

Eddies just lucky the ten year rule isn't in place! How well did North do out of that. It was a great coup for such a small club to rip off the big four for a change!

Get 'em again Doc!

where's your band playing these days carlos.
Fanks everyone! Glad to see we've all got our sense of humour's back about the whole mess! :)

The band (fuse.live.com.au)? Going great guns thanks!! We play every Friday at Pugg Mahones in Carlton (cnr Elgin and Drummond Street, on stage 10PM) which is a good reason i HATE Friday night games, and every Saturday at Pugg Mahones in the CBD (112 Hardware Lane, on stage 11PM). Both grouse gigs, always chockas and full of beautiful women and p*ssed maniac blokes!
