I could’ve sworn a week ago there was a strong hate for the dogs, a lot of it was umpire related all the way back to 2016.
Next thing they flog Port and people don’t seem to hate them as much.
This includes me, my dislike seems to have eased and I have no idea why, for me it’s not an umpire thing. Maybe it’s me being impressed by winning against the odds

Melbourne because 57 years is an unholy amount of time to wait for a flag. I'm 35 and have seen us win 4 flags so its hard to fathom. But I do like the underdog story of the Bulldogs again so wouldn't mind them winning. Also if the Dees lose they might have a chance to break the drought in Melbourne, which is some consolation.

In my case it's because I'm not old enough to remember him as a player for the Bombers. Growing up in the 2000s, I remember him as the coach of the Demons. I remember his post-match pressers and I'm pretty sure he appeared on Before the Game etc. He always struck me as a good bloke and so I've joined the lovefest as a result.
