I'm not a fan of people smashing out the same artists in a short time frame just quietly.

I love Alvvays, and I agree. By all means people can nom who they like (and I'll most likely still give it votes), but overexposure of artists in this contest has led to backlash, and I don't want that.

I might; and I suspect others will downvote songs subconciously due to overexposure. I guess the same goes for similar genres. I'm not saying I'll downvote the song, and in fact I might love it.

If I stick to 90s, and 00s rock I'll probably suffer in the long term

I listened to the first couple of songs of the alliteration playlist last round before thinking, "I've heard these before!". Kudos for getting all the way through!

Allow me to perform some blatant cross promotion for a minute. I also have an account over on TPFKA Twitter, and there's an account called Music Brownlow that also does song contests there in a similar vein to this one here. Only differences are you get three votes instead of five, and there's no billies. Recently he's gotten hold of lists from regular voters of their favourite 100 songs and run contests from them, and today he's chosen a list provided by yours truly. Here's the list:



So I invite you all to go over there and vote for your favourite three songs from my list. And like all good elections I'm even getting on the tongs.
