We're 16 songs in to the hottest 100 for 2024 and there's only one song I'd put votes to so far and a couple of billy possibilities.

We're not quite in whore territory yet.

Yeah I get that, I still buy a few every month but some of the prices are a joke. Normal records going for $90.

Each to their own, but Good Luck Babe is easily the best winner for a while.

I can put my old man hat on and complain that it's too poppy for JJJ, but that's the direction they've taken. They've always been a youth station that caters to what's popular and rock just isn't popular anymore (Fontaines making it was fantastic with two songs though). Given that, I'll take this.

Your average price for vinyl now is $50, it’s why I buy CDs more than vinyl.

I think there has been some analysis on this recently, consumers’ viewing habits have moved away from the standalone single and onto streaming albums.

That’s why we see the likes of Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar dominating the US Billboard charts nowadays.

As someone who enjoyed both Charli's and Billie's albums, having 16% of the countdown taken up by them is excessive. Definitely the case of die-hards spam voting their songs.

Do JJJ set a cap on the amount of songs an artist can chart? Five or something? Just imagine if Taylor Swift was eligible, that whole double album would've polled (and it was very uninspiring and bland).
