The Eminem "Houdini" would've been my choice for a "Worst Song of 2024" round. Dear Lord.
haha! feelings on 'murdergram' teamup with LL cool j? Not usually my style, but didn't mind it - different to what I was expecting.

You've found a gem UIR! I listened to it all, thanks for sharing. Has a folk-prog sound that compliments each other nicely (sometimes find prog wanky and folk a snooze). They remind me of someone but I'm failing to make the link sorry. Closest I can do atm is Wye Oak instrumentally and, weirdly, Will Sheff for the tone.

The two songs I've added to my playlists are Neon Orange Leash (track 8) and Dope Magic (track 4) as I found the vocals the strongest on them whilst the instrumental quality was pretty consistent throughout.

Cheers again for popping in for the rec. Hope to see you in a contest again one day.
Both good tracks. Whole album is solid, really glad you liked it. Their first release was alright, but not as good for my tastes.

I was happy to find an album with a male vocalist that I like so much. The last year and a half I've really struggled to find any male fronted stuff that sticks with me for some reason.

In saying that my probable number 1 for 2024 is male fronted, you might like it but they're a harder sell than the previous rec.

Tightened up their sound (their previous releases are a bit of a mess at times), had a vision for the sound they wanted and in my opinion, executed it to perfection. I'd probably start with 'my wife and the goblin'

I was going to join this round, had an artist in mind but their stuff isn't on YouTube so I spent too much time making a video, exporting it then trying to upload it to YouTube only for them to turn around and give me some bullshit error once it had finished.

It's a bit different and I'm sure some in here would argue it's not a song, but whenever one of their tracks comes on shuffle I get sucked into it. Very relaxing, spoken word, synth, cool drones and tones, weird shifts, ambientesque. It's 30 mins long so that would've been an issue for some also.

I was sent something when I joined. It doesn't like the new owner much.
I did ok with it last time I won... but last nite. Yeah. I guess I forgot how it works.
SPud gave me some tips and helped. He looked at the spreadsheet and dound some fixable things.
I spent hours re doing it today.
Learnt a tiny bit along the way.
Got it to tally votes but not put in positions.
So it's just a giant and painful chore.

What would be great is a spreadsheet that's set up and easy to use. Where all you need to do is enter the nommer's names and entries..put in votes..and everything else gets done.
Or is it never that simple?

I made something like that for myself, it's not perfect but it does tally vote totals once you've done the data entry?

I'm sure there's better solutions floating around.

I can get the totals now.
But no order to the votes low to high...and their position number.🙂

That face reminds me of Mulligrubs which was pure nightmare fuel.

That used to air just before Good Morning Australia, I reckon Moonface would've just been as scary for the kids as Mulligrubs was.
