The first time I've heard of The Paper Kites, I thought that would be lightweights with that name but they carry a bit of weight.

They remind me of The Badloves or Dave Graney and The Coral Snakes except not quite as good, not a bad comparison though.

The Baccara video is on Musikladen, a West German equivalent of Countdown/Top of the Pops. I think, similar to those, it's a lip sync, and they just fade the song out after three minutes, probably to fit time constraints of the show's programming.
