Most other clubs probably would have made us a reasonable offer. Collingwood have a history of trying to screw other clubs in trade deals which is why most clubs don't like dealing with them.

Like with Tarrant, Collingwood knew they could get Ball through the PSD for nothing so just made a taken offer. Freo begrudgingly accepted their offer while St Kilda told them to f*** off.

Karma will catch up with Collingwood eventually though, soon no clubs will deal with them at all.

we've all seen drafting blunders. but this one was the constant source of debate on bigfooty..

first it was st.kilda fans going on about how great he is when discussing his trade worth prior to trade week.

then they were going on about how we messed up by not paying the world for a great player, and that now we miss out, and how we could not get him.

then we got him, and all of a sudden he was a hack. was slow. couldnt kick, had no place in their side anyway.

all year they were jumping all over any hint of him struggling with distance, pace, or form.

then he smashed them in a grand final could not have scripted it better myself.

i sort of feel for the 2% of saints fans who from the start realised that their club was making a mistake.. sort of..

Ball was smashed by Hayes in the first grand final, he was virtually non existant.

Only played OK in the replay when you got on top thanks to Jolly dominating in the ruck with Gardiner out injured, he's a downhill skier along with Didak and Harry O who also went missing when the pressure was on in GF1.
