Just get rid of Central Hawks..No-one wants to play there, if they cant get people to training with the season 5 weeks away they dont deserve to be in the competition..Have a 10 team league with 18 rounds and no byes so everyone plays each team 2 times..If they do field a team how long before players stop turning up after they get flogged every week..GET RID OF THEM!!!

Do you get rid of Triabunna to? Thats goota hurt now at this point. Does n look good and no one likes to see clubs fold, but lets be honest.

At least Triabunna get numbers..They may get flogged but they have people still willing to play there..Not good to see clubs fold but if they cant get people to training with 5 weeks to go before the season starts then they should just scrap them..Bothwell having a team again does'nt help..Have'nt Todd Lewis & Clinton Brown walked? So obviously they know its a waste of time.

Suprised they did it in the first place and can't believe they decided to stay on for another year. The club is a joke and no one likes going up there to play.
Care to explain the "joke" for the rest of us?
Up until last season the club had made finals in at least 1 grade every year. Care to point out the other clubs that did that from 2006-2012? Maybe the others should fold too.
And I notice there weren't any posts for Triabunna to fold when they were crap for years. Or Lindisfarne when they won something like 6 games in 5 seasons. Or Claremont. Or Brighton and New Norfolk when they sucked in the old Premier League.

No keyboard warrior here! All those teams had players turn up to training even though they were getting flogged..Ive got mates who play at Central Hawks and they tell me hardly anyone turns up to train and even they think the club is gone..If the coach has left and its best player and your getting no more then 15 maximum at training , what is the point? I would be happy if they stayed in the comp as long as they have the players. Lets hope they do, but hope gets you no where.. On another matter i noticed on the clearences page that Clinton Curtain has gone to New Norfolk..Whats everyone's opinion on when he will start sooking, especially when he has to go the bench..

well i used to like going up to play at bothwell,oatlands not so much.... guys give the hawks a break at least they have fielded an underage side for a few years unlike claremont once in whole time in sfl... itd be hard for them with bothwell starting back up cambell town splashing $$ mt pleasent have a side aswel so there best players have been poached throw in the baiely brothers going to clarence don't help

You may be unaware, but the SFL didn't start with Dodges Ferry's entry in 2002, when incidentally at Abbotsfield Park in their first ever SFL game their Reserves Runner wore no shoes. Running around on a quality surface must have been a novelty to him.
I digress, Claremont fielded Underage sides from 1996-2001, and quite good ones too. Unfortunately, they didn't from 2002-07, and from 2010-12. But you in your role as SFL Commissioner will be glad to know their Underage numbers on the track have been fantastic and they will indeed be fielding a side this year and hopefully many years to come.

Pat Taylor doesn't rate shoes that highly. Would have played bare foot if it were allowed. Was seniors runner that day too but he chucked on a pair of runners for that one to keep everyone happy
They were on a two year deal werent they?
Hopefully CH can improve their numbers before round 1. They should be given a chance to turn things around although it doesn't sound good at the moment. It's never good to see a club struggling.

barge suck me is all i can say ... hope for all the $ u guys spend u fail... just so u know im not involved with dodges .... claremont has been terrible in puting an nderage side on the park in recent years ...they may well be gettng good numbers on the track , which is good bout time they had a side again.. they did go well the other year when they had a side tho.. poor form tho getting up a team like c.h who have always been up against it ,,,especialyy when there on there knees

Just got told by my mate who plays at Claremont that Todd Lewis has joined the club as an assistant coach/runner...Also Cygnet vs St Virgils this weekend i believe at Nth Hobart Oval...So what were the numbers at Central Hawks training tonite? With it raining im guessing you could count them on 1 hand.

Had 19 last thursday. Although that was second hand info and the bloke that told me said three were counted that were just there watchin. had 14 last night. Couple of the boys have alredy gone to brighton and one or two have gone with lewis to Claremont.

Not certain if I am the one who has gone very quiet or not.
Don't really feel like spending much time reading about my club getting bashed time and time again, and at the present time I can't add anymore to what is already known.
