ie I have heard that Skye lost their gun Reserves Coach -:D :D :D

We havent really lost much. But as i have said before, when you finish 2nd last you need new recruits just to get back on track. Tobin moved to Queensland which is a big loss, but he is unprdictable, so he could move back during the year and see him on the track again. Ben Hughes has gone to Belgrave, but he did not turn up the final 5 games last year plus owes the club money.
Lovell has retired.
Thats all from the 1sts. Alot of our recriuts have actually played at the club in the past and missed a year or 2 for reasons such as major injurys, joineding the cops where the training was too intense to play footy or coming back from travelling for a year.

Yeah I wont deny that we have lost our reserves coach, dont know if he was a gun, never really seen him play, he was a great bloke though, i think he is coaching elsewhere at the moment so i wish him well!!

HOAX

How many years have you played there and have you had a leadership role or been involved in match commitee. Also what role does rocket play there, he is mystery man but seems to have an influence over what happens down there one of the better people you will meet anywhere. Now we have a stkilda person on the forum. Who is Brett Mason his name seems to pop up when the saints are supposed to have a good list? Is he the same bloke that walked out at Caulfield mid year early 2000?
Also is Adrian Newman training hard, he could be the difference this year!

St Kilda took the easy option and it will blow up in their face. 3 year contract? give me a break. Clubs that look at their long term future will survive and prosper. Cheltenham are on the right track and Clayton are always consistent. Chelsea Heights are realists and know the rules. StKilda appointing Mr Rich is a joke. I pose the question "would any club appoint him as coach if the money wasn't forthcoming?" I think not! Players must respect their mentor. If Mr Rich could coach why not just apply for a position instead of buying it. But I will say one thing it has created interest.

Brett is the Assistant coach at St Kilda, while Newman is training well. He will be hard for the opposition to match up with.

Newman is a great player but 4 years older than when he last played SFL and suffered some injuries. Wouldn't be hanging my hat on him too much. Memo, yet to be proved in Div 1, Cassett is a great player but seen his best, a running backline will test the slow forwards particularly with Arvanitis floating down. They need to deliver well and catch it or it will rebound.

Tell me Gents, am i in the wrong area or is this just a division three forum.
Surely there are other people in this area from divi one and two, speak up lads and get promote your division.
Who cares about Div 3. Probably the worst standard I've ever seen, pressure on the player with the pill is non existant. Super rules is better.

Pretty true comment, where as in Div 1 the pressure is on the clubs to have the most money to buy a good team for a year or 2. Then back down to Div 2!!!!

Love ya work scratcha. The insider obviously doesnt understand the love of the game that most blokes in div 3 feel its probably the endless search for a couple of extra bucks that does it. Perish the thought some of us want play the greatest game on earth with our mates but are not quite as capable of playin at the top. Maybe allthe div 3 guys should just pack it in .

Funnily enough i personally dont care about div 1 so each to his own.

Div 3 will be alot better this year with some gun recruits, which could easily play higher standard, even div 1 or 2 heaven forbid, as its such a high standard Mr Insider not far off AFL

Completely agree. I'm most looking forward to having a beer and watching the ones run around, and I think there's a few in that boat at South Yarra. Not Mathieu Dube though, he drinks like a girl. Do other clubs serve Breezers and Stolis or what?

So long as your club doesn't slide into the Div 3 abyss. Full credit to those running around and having a go, no criticism there at all but the standard is woeful. And BTW there are plenty running around in Div 1 for nothing not to mention Div 2. It's a long way back to Div 1. Are any Div 3 clubs ever been in Div 1? Can't think of one for at least 15 years.

Interesting question. But i pose one myself.

Q: How many Div 1 clubs would have a winning record and therefore remain in Div 1 when paying less than 95% of their players.

A: Not ****ing many.

Get off your high horse. The whole division is all about money and thats it end of story.

Cant think of too many clubs who have stayed in Div 1 for 15 years either. Once the money runs out , the slide continues. Like you said, alot play for nothing in higher divisions and the clubs try to buy the half dozon Gun recruits they need to be finals contenders, but when the money is not dished out, the clubs standard also falls.

Have heard recently that grounds within City Of Greater Dandenong will be available to train on from April 1st. Have also heard that some teams are aloud to train on there home ground once a week for an hour or two? Are any clubs in this area doing this currently?
