not including yourself danielhm1... one would assume u didnt get an invite then. bit stiff imo... do they invite players from every club or just a select few from the better performed clubs?

Thanks mate, apparently not one of our seniors have been invited! Pretty stupid considering we finished the home and away season, second on the ladder.
Would have been hard for me to poll in the second half of the year as every coach thought it would be a good idea to place a heavey tag (even when injured).

Hayden schipper cannot win due to his striking charge, and do be honest there isn't any stand out players at Moorabbin in my opinion.

Yap has a good chance of winning, runs and carries the ball alot. He would be a really good player if his decision making and ball use was better though. I guess that doesn't matter to much in divvy 3 though. We didnt tag yap, and in the games I've seen no one else has either. Would be a worthy winner though.

Tom clappers has been pretty good toward the end of the season, I think he may struggle at the start though.

Tommy is a quality player but didn't he miss a few with a finger injury, the first 6 rounds he was at Lyndale too.
Even though we won only 6 games Adam Read should finish well up there.

Didn't realise Schipper had a strike against his name.

It's an absolute travesty if none of Sandown's players have been invited esp given you blokes finished 2nd. Surely that cannot be the case; Sandown have atleast 3 that could get up. My assumption is the SFL haven't posted the invites yet.

Don't think your observations are right about Yap. His decision-making and ball use (esp penetrating kicks) are the reasons why he's so valued at our club. Not sticking up for him, but for some reason he hasn't played well (shanking kicks and what not) against the Cobras this year, so that prob explains your reasoning. He was the difference between the two sides when we beat Mount twice earlier this year; he was injured in the 3rd game.

Inureface, I thought you got the boot?? Perhaps take a hint and f* off. You're a waste of space, and everyone on this forum has known for the past year you have no personal affiliation with the Dragons whatsoever.

Anyone would like a crack of the sfl divvy 3 team of the year? Now with the home and away season done, who would be in the squad

Nah pass... lol very tough task! would be good to see other peoples opinions on this but from a personal view i didnt see any other two teams play apart from when playing against my own side so i cant comment.

Think Adam Read will win the Divy 3 BnF with ease! easy the best player in the divy 3 comp.

Krepp and Read did nothing in the 3 games they played against us... Bad call imho...

Your kidding yourself, Read is the best player in div 3 and the only thing that will stop him from winning is the lack of wins by Lyndale.
He dominated against Dandenong all 3 times he played them and also dominated against the Hills, Eagles, Moorabbin twice, he even had the ball on a string when we got thumped by 15 goals against Mount.

Mate, you must have rocks in your head... Pretty sure I'd get a game before read.

My squad would be as follows:

Jarrod wilikin R
Keaton tribe RR
Ben Stacey W
Gough FF
Jacob attwood BF
Jason yap HB
Andrew do HB
Huy voung HF
Tom clappers W
Sareth soung FP
Pang BP
Jason toan C
Shane cosstick HF
Russel weeding FP
Mark frenken FB
Daniel mulvouge I
Matthew dogget Foll
Christopher hatfield HF
Hassan kiki HF
Muhummed Kiki I
Hayden schipper HB
Brendon robinson - EH BP
Daniel batson I

I'm probably biased with coaches but I don't think anyone would disagree with what rossborough has done with sandown.
He would be coach of the yeah imo, due to the turn around in sandown. Probably the most improved side this year.
Tom has been good for southern, but they had made the preliminary last year. Kudos to him for taking them further.
And Taranto, also a good coach and a top bloke, but has had the cattle from the get go.

Mt Waverley 5
Southern dragons 6
Sandown 5
Moorabbin 3
Dandenong 2
Endeavour hills 2
Doveton 0 - they have some good players, but there better players are probably their least disciplined and aren't very team orientated.
Lyndale 0 - we beat them by 9 goals, 20 goals and in the last game by 9 goals. Also undisciplined side with no standouts imho. Read did nothing in the 3 games we played against you.
And if I'm not in the squad he definitely isn't.

Obviously everyone will be biased towards players (ie, mates) on their teams, just like myself with Yap.

Haven't seen much of Read, but I know Clappers mentioned he's an absolute gun. Just interesting you didn't mention him dominating against Sandown or the Dragons.

First time we played the Dragons Krepp was the one that did the damage while Read was fairly good but I would imagine there would be better. To be honest the other 2 games against the Dragons while he may of been in our best they were days to forget for Lyndale. Against Sandown he was ok the last 2 games but once again beaten convincingly so would likely not to trouble in votes.
Both Dragons & cobras would jump at the chance of Adam Read lining up at their club.

Junior1 how about you start improving your on field behavior,i know a potential coach who sat behind you coaches box on several occasions and was disgusted with the language and arguments amongst players and coach.

One player even refused to go back on because he wasn't getting enough game time, unless your club changes it's culture and direction you will always remain in 3rd div.

As for the 2's you have way too many older guy's no potential there for seniors, stop playing Arena who is what 40 odd come on his in it for him self open your eye's for a change and get Lyndale up and about again.

Can't disagree with you on the first point mate, it definately needs improving. Club is looking at putting the right people in place to change that. I think that you can see with the Cobras that the right people can make a huge difference to on and off field culture.

The seconds did have a few guys in their 30's lining up, especially in the final. As for Ange he is no where near 40 and if he played the season out in the ressies probably would of went close to winning the goalkicking. Last time I checked it is a full forwards job to kick goals and he did that and also was very good with some of the younger guys.
A few of those older blokes have retired after this year.

After being relegated the clubs goals were not to go straight back up, we were fully aware of what was needed to compete in div 3 and also what we had at our disposal. As a club that just spent a decade in div 2 we know what position you need to be in to not only gain promotion but also to compete with the big boys.

And you are who?? sh i thouse!! call on ange, he wanted to finish off his career where he started and tried to help lyndale as a club and the younger guys coming thru. He is 36 not 40 odd! did a full pre season, trained every week and had his best year for 5 or 6 years, so he earnt his position even stepped up for the seniors when he was needed because of their multiple injuries. And whats wrong with playing in his 30's if his body allows him, didnt think you had to step aside because of your age, he wasnt holding anyone back and you can only pick a side with what you have isnt that what twos footy is for? kicking 77 goals in the 2's from only 14 games and 10 in the 1s from 3 matches 2 of them against this years grandfinalists, so i hardly think thats over the hill and playing for yourself!. Funny thing that the top 3 goal kickers in the reserves were in their 30s and 40s! play as long as you want and as long as you can i say because your a long time retired! I think gordon mcqueen from hampton was still playing twos in his 60's so id be more inclined to congratulate him on his efforts to still be playing instead of taking cheap shots at the bloke!

On the other hand congratulations to the southern dragons in the seniors and mount in the reserves! party hard!:footy:

That is a typical answer from over the hill player Disco you yourself go from one club to another a serial div 3 offender and guess what still down the bottom enjoy your pedestrian style footy.

2 clubs in 16 years hardly jumping club to club left lyndale to play with Wormy and Ange came back to lyndale this year because eagles didn't look like playing again, i wanted to do a pre season and i was always going to return to the pumas to finish of as for being over the hill i already know that I've only ever been just an average player at least i can admit that so i don't see your point, unfortunately for u ill be dragging my old ass around again next year! So feel free to keep taking cheap shots and bagging us for wanting to still have a kick, how many div 3 games have you watched this year out of curiosity last i knew you guys were div 2;)

agony and ecstacy is a funny old mix of feelings fellas. ecstatic for the Dragons seniors to win the flag but hours before in absolutely gut wrentching agony to lose ressies GF to a well drilled Mt outfit. Well done to Tigs, Stewey, Tristen, Niko and the boys for taking out another flag in the 2s, and well done to our boys for giving it a real shot. I must apologise unconditionally for my behaviour in the last quarter trying to trip a mt defender using my leg, I had a busted right hand from 2nd quarter and when the player came towards me I was aware of my hand but still wanted to stop him, it looked bad and I'm glad the contact was minimal. Sorry for that. As to all the boys from other clubs that came and supported, the Dan Macs of the world, thanks for the season and for all the banter, you guys make the sport and the league an enjoyable place to spend our past time. Dragons up to Div 2, a whole lot of different ball game, looking forward to the challenge off field and on, have a safe off season and see you alll very soon.

Saw the score at 3-quarter time and thought scoreboard was wrong. I missed the first 3 quarters, and heard Dragons, could get up. Great work JP!
