Any big tips this week?

Mount should easily account for cerberus after their rest.
Skye should thump dandy at greaves.
I would hope we have a win over the yarras, but we aren't too confident.
Cobras in an upset.

That is all.
LOL, Cobras to beat the Cobras you reckon?

South Yarra wouldn't have given you guys too much to worry about yet I wouldn't think. You're just being modest. :p

As soon as Yarra get that first win on the board, you get the feeling that more wins will follow. They've played well in patches and were unlucky against Doveton and Sandown. Probably a bit overmatched against Skye and a bit jittery in round one against Dandy. A very inexperienced club with alot of youngsters. Remind me a bit of Carlton in the AFL. Always thereabouts, but just can't get over the hump. Although you can't just rock up against the 'bottom side' and expect a win, because they will surprise you. A few of the experienced players missing through injury have hurt a bit aswell.

Not to worry, this is the week. Chalk it up: Win #1!

L-Mac to dictate things down back, Will giving his usual toughness in the middle and big Nick to kick 6 in the first Yarra win of the year.

Oh yeah, whoops. I meant Southern cobras, I think canterbury are set for a loss. I just feel southern are due, like you yarra boys they are there abouts every week. I think you guys are due too, but not this week :p

L-Mac, lol! Call him Lachy, it's a good name. :thumbsu: Who are you Snowman? I agree with a lot you've said, but have been let down saying they'll win, so I'm a bit wait and see. I don't think anyone's really taken us lightly, few big ins this week too. Big Azza is apparently pretty good. I think he's the bloke Mouse was talking about that kicked 80 one season despite missing 6 games. Was named Full Forward this week. Will free Nick Owen up a bit too. Kel showed a bit last week, and will play well with Nev if he gets up. The momentum is building, but as I've said before, the second half of the season will be a lot better than the first. By the Bye in the middle we'll have sorted a lot of problems out, got our list together and stuff. Before Enemy pipes up and says that all should have been done before the season, remember that we're about 80% or more new blokes, new coach, pretty much new team. Training form isn't always a good indicator of game form. I wouldn't have tipped Coutta to struggle as much as he has, though he's had injuries. We'll see some good return matches against sides that have beaten us already though.

I'll agree with you there. It happened with us last year

we went 3-6 in the first 9

and finished with 5-4 in the 2nd 9 of last year

2nd half of the season when players are used to playing with each other will see more joy for the Yarras

Not bad tipping Benchman would have to agree with selections.Mount to just get over the line though 9 points,Skye to smash 54 points Dandy the great pretenders,Rockers will win by 3 goals,I agree with Sandown by 11 points with there ladies day on it might be just what the boy's need to get TURNED ON.That Is All.

South yarra reserves on saturday played one of the best footy ive seen in this league yet carn the lions....no one knew the song though

Well well. It seems we were all wrong about Dandy. Or maybe we were all wrong about Skye. Or a bit of both? They seem to have fallen in a heap down there at wedge. Something in the water maybe?

Mount are back on track it looks, despite the people ripping them on here, maybe those people haven't noticed they have only lost the single game, and end the first half with south yarra, dandy and sandown. A real chance to finish on 8 wins from 9 games.

As for our game, well south yarra were outgunned up forward, our new guys were worth every cent it seems. We are thinking about next week now though, big game against Dandy, hopefully we can hold their forwards.

That is all.

I wouldnt worry about holding there forwards, to beat Dandy you have to controll one man!!!

Number 1 David Black is probaly the Best Footballer I have seen in Div 3 in the last 2 years!! Reminds me alot of David Sheehan from the old Moorrabbin Kangroos Dynasty but I dare say better!!

We simply had no one to go with him and he destroyed us, unbelievable talent with a massive engine!!

I can defeanetly see why he has got 4 Best on grounds from 5 matches and should win the League B&F by an absolute Street!!

Credit where Credit is due he is a Gun!!!

Some real good games this week:Skye v Sandown crunch game for Skye.Canterbury v Doveton Eagles first real test for the Eagles.Black Rock v Dandy very interesting this one.Mount v Sth Yarra,Yarra have been competitive all year and Mount can be up and down at times.Cerberus will welcome the 4 points thanks to the bye.

went down to have a look at sandown v canterbury on saturday. close game, left at 3/4 time to have a look at the skye v dandy game. some of the boys stayed at sandown and were "really surprised" to see a certain reserves coach grab a spectator from the other side of the fence and try to find out what kind of a weekend he was having! was only metres from the tv cameras, good to see some things/people never change!
This is what blac04 had to say on the Reserves thread about it, I'm interested to know as well.

What are we talking about though? Heated argument, threats, punches, or what? Where are you darkmoor and what did you do?

Apparently choked the guy and had him pinned against the fence,in front of there ladies day.

Still won though. Always been 2 separate teams down at sandown. Seniors and reserves care nothing for each other it seems. Sandown twos will win the flag and ones won't win a game (other than the 2 byes). That is all.

The Skye juggernaut i have talked about is looking a little shakey at the moment. Watched the game on Saturday and they didnt have too many good players, will need to improve a hell of a lot. Discipline is a big problem.

Black Rock are going to be the real deal, who is the bloke that kicked all there goals on the weekend? Is he new?

Very even comp with a few sides playing some really good footy, keep up the good work.

Topakis kicked 9. New gun recruit. He will dominate I can tell you now.

I think skye will come good in the second half. The question is, with such a close comp, will that be enough wins to make it. Already 3 losses. MT will finish first half on 1 loss, Canterbury/Doveton meet this week, one of them will finish on 1 loss and the other on 2. So that will most likely be the top 3 come end of season. Leaving spot number 4 up for grabs, my money is on BR, but dandy are a show... So as you can see, Skye better shape up soon or forget about it, cos 5 or 6 losses this year and you aren't in the running.

That is all.
