Bound For Glory
Debutant
I don't think MRobbo once said fighting wasn't a part of football and I think we have all come to agreement that it is inevitable, ON THE GROUND. As an official for Cerberus he was putting in a complaint that people not involved with the game being played got involved with a fight originating from the game. Should that behavior be condoned? HELL NO, and it sounds like you yarra boys are. I don't give to $hit$ who is getting punched or whatever, if it's in the pub then fine help your mate out, if it's part of a footy match (on the ground or on the boundary line) then leave the players involved and umpires to sort it out.
Let's just all come to an agreement that fighting is a part of footy, and people who aren't playing shouldn't be joining the fight under any circumstances. Nuff said, that is all.
Sorry benchman had to correct you its pretty obvious that we all agree that fighting on the ground is inevitable but not sure MRobbo agrees by the comment below:
Fighting and punching and an incident like saturday's needs to be outlawed at any level of football whether it be AFL,VFL or any local football.
Also if MRobbo wants to put in a complaint thats his right but us Yarra boys are just sick of it being brought up. The next rounds games are about to start and we are still talking about it. Let the league investigate and make it decision and we will accept it. And I think from the comments below its pretty obvious the Yarra boys do not condone guys off the ground getting involved.
afraid not scratcha i could hardly walk let alone run and jump in i stood back with a can in my hand like all good spectators should.
i never said it was okay, but when people say shit like what happens on the ground should stay on the ground, im going to tell what actually happened. No the individuals should not have gotten involved, your right, but it wasnt just Sth Yarra supporters in the fray.
