I don't think MRobbo once said fighting wasn't a part of football and I think we have all come to agreement that it is inevitable, ON THE GROUND. As an official for Cerberus he was putting in a complaint that people not involved with the game being played got involved with a fight originating from the game. Should that behavior be condoned? HELL NO, and it sounds like you yarra boys are. I don't give to $hit$ who is getting punched or whatever, if it's in the pub then fine help your mate out, if it's part of a footy match (on the ground or on the boundary line) then leave the players involved and umpires to sort it out.

Let's just all come to an agreement that fighting is a part of footy, and people who aren't playing shouldn't be joining the fight under any circumstances. Nuff said, that is all.

Sorry benchman had to correct you its pretty obvious that we all agree that fighting on the ground is inevitable but not sure MRobbo agrees by the comment below:

Fighting and punching and an incident like saturday's needs to be outlawed at any level of football whether it be AFL,VFL or any local football.

Also if MRobbo wants to put in a complaint thats his right but us Yarra boys are just sick of it being brought up. The next rounds games are about to start and we are still talking about it. Let the league investigate and make it decision and we will accept it. And I think from the comments below its pretty obvious the Yarra boys do not condone guys off the ground getting involved.

afraid not scratcha i could hardly walk let alone run and jump in i stood back with a can in my hand like all good spectators should.

i never said it was okay, but when people say shit like what happens on the ground should stay on the ground, im going to tell what actually happened. No the individuals should not have gotten involved, your right, but it wasnt just Sth Yarra supporters in the fray.

Smash and axe are easily in our top 5 for performances this year, Id say both will poll extremely well in the b&f and also great blokes to have around the club!! will only get better this year no doubting!!
Zeus is a great talent and tough footballer, unfortunately a little injury prone at the moment he is struggling to string a few games together but he will valuable when fit!!

Pi$$ off MRobbo.

Interesting to see you making tips, considering you're never going to an SFL game again and were apparently down from the VFL for one week only. And for benchman as well, there were only a couple of examples listed. Go and have a look, nearly all (possible even all) South Yarra posters have said the crowd shouldn't get involved. I love how the Mods have been so thorough in their deleting references to the incident, or is it because we've been fined we can all talk about it now?

Q: MRobbo and The Enemy Within were in a car race and both drove off a cliff. Who was the winner?

A: Society.

That is all.

I am really interested to know if MRobbo intends to continue to post for the rest of the season and if so what on !:D

Ah the Enemy loves being hated,2 wins in a row for Yarra doe's that constitute a successful year. That Is All.

Another interesting round of results.

Dande and Mount keeping pace, making it a very tight top 4. One slip up form anyone in the top four could be costly with 5 sides all very close and Skye still a chance.
Black Rock another decent sized win. Can they keep a full forward on the park?
Canterbury vs Skye having a draw makes it even more interesting at the top.
If either Canterbury or Black Rock has a loss this week they will potentially drop to 3rd and be on same points as Dande.
Draw doesn't really help Skye, still a long way from the top four and % not great.

Yes your right, it doesnt really help at all!! Brave effort by the boys, really feel for them!!!

28, 50 Mtr penalties were awarded in our game on the weekend ( Black Rock V Doveton Eagles )
Where are we getting these scallywags they call themselves as umpires. I dont like being an abuser of umpires but that was shocking on sat for both sides!!! Thats not including the stupid free kicks all day!
Black Rock too mature and experienced for the young Eagles.
I wonder how their very aging backline will hold up though at the end of the long season, especially on the massive ground at Mordi??? If finals are there!!!

I feel Black Rock will be the ones to beat now, some very experienced players of a high quality. They have a fairly good mix of younger blokes aswell. Wilkins might even return now. Ando is a very good coach also.

28, 50s is that for real?

umpiring was terrible!!! over umpired and soft decisions! reserves game was worse, the older bloke was a blatant cheat!!

I dunno if the rumours about wilko coming back are true, even if they are, every overrated. Watched him most of last year, i mean he is a good player don't get me wrong but all the hype, I just dunno.

Ando is the best coach i've seen in a long time, great bloke too.

As for the 50's, i don't think it was that high but it was very excessive. Quite a few from back chat i would imagine, hard to tell from the sidelines but I can't see what else some of them would have been for.

I think we had it in the 20's for the number of 50's. Didn't seem that many on the ground. A lot were for back chat both ways but as scratcha said it was more along the lines of BR being a little bit more disciplined in dealing with it. Especially right after half time the eagles lads just let it get to them and gave away frees and 50's.
I think the problem with a lot of umpires now days is they have not played any footy so they don't how a contested games is actually played.

I also thought the SFL wasn't going to be taking on the AFL version of the hands in the back rule this year, seems to me that every time you're near someones back let alone touching it let alone using your hips to hold a block out you get pinged, especially over the last month.

It was over umpired on Saturday but they are out there doing there best.

South Yarra and Cerberus penalised for misconduct

Both clubs were fined $150 for engaging in a melee.
South Yarra was instructed to make some changes in relation to their unfenced playing surface.
Cerberus was asked to re-iterate its Sports Code of Conduct with its playing group.
Each club realises that this penalty acts as a prior offence to be taken into account if there is a repeat of a similar incident in the near future.

MRobbo i hope you are happy with the result as this is what i mentioned last week as the result of your investigation.
This was posted today on the SFL website.

I am happy the league at least investigated the incident. At least a decision has been made.

I popped down to have a look at Dandenong vs Cerberus on the weekend. Dandenong won both games comfortably and looked a good side.

Although I can tell you guys from other clubs now that I am not part of this any more.

Rumour is that the Cerberus players were not happy the fine was taken because they said they were not in the wrong.

This is not my opinon, I am just happy it is over with and lets get on with the footy?

I hope you respect me for that!!!!
