you're an accountant?

wow

please write a book on how to be successful
Your about the fifth poster to mention it...it was hardly funny the first time let alone this time.

For the record working the 4 days a week and I still end up with more cash than any other trainee/apprentice I know who work the 5 days a week.

I hate these stories, the copper feels sorry for you because if normal rules apply you loose your license. I recently got done for not wearing a seatbelt while moving the car 200m in a side street at work (the cop was hiding in the side street nabbing speeders on the main road) but because my license wasnt at stake $330 and 3 points when people going 20-30kmh over the limit get off. I'm all for using descretion but their decision making confuses the shit out of me

This thread is about your prestigious professional life earning you a lighter penalty from the law. Surely we can mention it. Not all of us are in awe of your ability to create a balance sheet.

I've always wondered what a police person would say if I was running late for work and they pulled me over for speeding and I told them what I did...

They wouldnt dare fine you, Mother Teresa, saviour of the ill.

You do realise that, if you're working in a major, metropolitan hospital, the first hour of your shift is 'handover', right?

Neither am I. Accounting requires uni. It doesnt have to be me in my job it could be any other university student/grad in their profession compared to those from the sterotypical lower end of the scale educational jobs; such as moderating on an internet forum as you dont actually have a job.

Nice air swing. Play on.

Geez cool your jets! And only the first 15-20 minutes is handover. Get your facts straight before you get your knickers in a knot!

How long are you on P Plates for?

In WA it's only 2 years

I rarely showed my plates when I was on P's... got warned about it once but that was it. Would be shit thing to get fined for.

Not really, the license stipulates that the Ps must be displayed, if you do not display them you deserve to be fined, if you weren't fined, you were lucky.

Not saying that I didn't deserve to be fined, just saying its a pretty shit thing to be fined a few hundred dollars for - and I guess thats probably why I was let off with just a warning.

You peanuts should have your P plates on.

Its to let everyone else on the road know you are a shit inattentive driver who is probably texting.

It saves lives ********s.
What about an S plate for seniors or a W plate for women. To let others know you use your brake as the accelarator, you put your blinker on 10minutes before you are actually turning, you take turns wider than a Steve Harmison ashes delivery or you forget you only use one lane on 2 lane roundabouts.
Seriously I've done things perfectly within the letter of the law and Ive seen old people get mad at me. They just want to get mad at P platers.

Truly a brilliant post.

If you speed, you deserve a full fine. Plain and simple. 10Ks over and you should lose your license.

Now where have I heard this before...

Great ideas.

Id go one step further, and make it...

Yellow Cars for old women.
Green Cars for old men.
Red cars for 25-60yo men.
White cars for 35-60yo women
Pink cars for 17-25yo women.
Blue cars for 17-25yo men.

Would make life easier and safer.

But for now, at least we can spot the P's and can expect lane changes with inadequate indication and lane drifting because your downloading your latest app.

Seriously, there are more people who die from comitting suicide every year, in comparison with car accidents. Yet the government puts more money into speed cameras etc...why? Because there is a chance to make $$$$$$

They have 2 options, as they must be seen to be doing something... Cameras to act as a deterrent and make some money on the side or zero tolerance on speeding and hoon driving.

I'm betting most people would prefer the cameras. Zero tolerance on speeding would see a lot more people off the road for doing slightly over the limit.

Shibz, its cheaper to pay for speed cameras than to pay for the health care of a car accident victim.

Seriously, if it was an e-brag I could have done much better. The lack of comprehension from some posters is enough to make me feel good about myself anyway.

However, lol at Rofltown coming back for extras when he wasnt funny or entertaining the first time and lol at Vealesy for posting 3 posts back then, although I didnt post in between, posting again!

For the record its a small firm and I knew nobody working there before-hand.

I think you may have understood.

More people commit suicide then die in car accidents.

Why don't they put more money into mental health (so that suicide rates lower), rather then put money into trying to stop people speeding with speed cameras.

Not to mention, money is made off of speed cameras.
