You can just keep picking once other teams pass. No need to have 8 draft picks, you actually just have as many as your list needs.

We also have a late F/S prospect in Peckett and have committed a rookie spot to someone from the Sandy Zebra's playing list.

You might get some blokes in to train over summer.

I seriously hope we plan on adding one or two like Tomlinson over the coming months, as we’ve now lost Battle, Membrey, Campbell, Hayes, Allison and Van Es from our list, and not added anyone tall and experienced to replace any of them.

Our tall depth now is Cordy and zero-gamers Heath and Keeler. And Schoenmaker, who might be able to play key position at a pinch.

Would love to know what the plan is.

I’m hearing we are a very good chance of splitting pick 8 now the talk is for gws picks 15-16 not sure why we do that. we just need to draft the best two midfielders available at 7-8 keep things simple we cannot afford to be wasting top ten picks

You need to be going best available with high picks. That’s not the place to pick for needs. That’s how you end up with McCartin over Petracca, or Clark over Naughton.

There looks to be very little difference between the quality you’ll get at 8 and the quality you’ll get in the mid teens in this draft, so I’d be very very OK with splitting the pick. Especially if we could get Lindsay with one of them.

As I pointed out above, we’re also in very dire need of adding to our tall stocks, so we could also do an awful lot worse than to add two quality tall types at 15/16.

I’m all for drafting best available we are just in dire need of midfield talent though. While The difference in talent between 8and 15 /16 might not be as wide as other drafts there still is a gap,

Tomlinson makes perfect sense for our needs. AT worst, he's good depth and at best, he's an immediate Battle replacement while we work out what we want to do long term.

Completely agree. I would have thought getting him in was a complete no-brainer, all-things-being-equal. He was a big thorn in our side when we played them this year. Was about as good as any game Battle played.

He’s plug-and-play, or at the very least, excellent depth.
