Only 34000 at the game too, goodbye to the marquee games for another generation. Still, right now we've got more important matters at hand.

I really want to see a red hot response to this garbage, not a balanced toned down statement.

This is line in the sand time, and I don't care how beloved the person at the club, they go if they can't do much better than what we have now.

These players played like people who've never played the game before. The lack of awareness is a searing indictment on the training at the club, but maybe also the drafting:

Is it that we're drafting stupid players because they're good blokes? Certainly seems so when you hear any of them talk. Stuv, Bruce, Armo, Webster, they genuinely sound like dumbcampaigners in all the saints media, but I haven't heard one current saints player talk and think he might actually be smart. They're not there to write academic reports but that stupidity seems to extend to a lack of forethought onfield, lack of understanding.

Or maybe we're turning them into idiots at the club, encouraging intellectual inertia and moronic downtime behaviour. Either way, the players seem like they're wandering around the field like zombies and any good results seem to almost be lucky accidents.

If they are just following orders then the entire coaching staff need to **** right off and now.

Webster named in our best. Sad thing is no matter how much he butchered it he still probably was
Stats say Geary had an 80% DE but with 8 kicks and 17 handpasses - that 80% looks less impressive

Became pretty obvious last year that richco wasn’t the bloke to take us forward he’s much like McCartney at the dogs but worse ffs seeing the same 3 campaigners at every centre bounce pisses me off immensely why not mix it up I mean Seb was getting a hard tag so we just leave him there instead of moving him around why not give acres Gresham Steele Sinclair Billings a go in there it’s insanely frustrating watching talented players rot on the forward flanks and being hid from the action you imagine if we had a semi competent coach who actually gave our players a shot to do something we’d be in much better shape, I didn’t think we were that bad last week vs Brisbane but looking back I probably had about 12 to many beers lmao

Agree, sinclair was brilliant on a wing last year now he’s playing up forward. Get billings and steele in the guts for armo and koby and ffs bring in dunstan

The recruitment staff are to blame. They seem to just keep there job. Its not richos fault they draft duds. 6 drafts not 1 superstar. The only player that resembles that is billings. But hey lets blame everyone else.
Can’t agree with this at all. They’ve made mistakes but we have what should be a really strong list. It’s up to the coaches to develop them right and it doesn’t seem to be happening.

The way Richardson coached today was downright pathetic. I can’t even work out what the game plan was.

I think I preferred last year where we were bombing long to the goal square, at least we had a tall forward to kick it to.

Today we either had our forward sucked up the ground or had so many around or behind the footy we were continually outnumbered in our forward 50.

How we can go from getting smashed so hard in the middle last week and then do it again today was shameful.

Kicking out of our back half has been a weakness since Richo was here and it has not improved one bit.

Richo seems to have zero answers on game day when things aren’t going well.

I was a fan of him in 2016 but he’s proven to me he’s just not up to it as a head coach.

Clark did nothing today but if he goes out of the side ill be pissed...

Bring in coffield for Stevens, we need to get games into blokes who can kick the footy
Prepare to be pissed

You don't just give games on age and talent, he was way way off it today.
It doesn't hurt to develop a first year skinny kid in vfl.

The person who made the final decision to draft McCartin over Petracca needs to be sacked. No ifs. No buts. Sack him.

Nup not having that.

When the time came to make that call we had no idea how long Roo had left, how Membrey wpuld turn our or if Bruce could play forward.

We also didnt know we would be in a position to draft Battle and Marshall.

Finally, we had just seen the Buddy deal go down AND the Dogs giving up pick 6 plus THEIR CAPTAIN for an unproven Tom Boyd.

A KPF costs a fortune on the market and at the time of the draft we had 2/10ths of **** all coming through behind Riewoldt.

You could argue drafting Wright over Paddy. You can definately say we should have taken the GWS deal, drafted Wright and Laverde or Lever, but the call to take the #1 KPF over the #1 mid wasnt wrong.

Longer really is a liability, it was telling that we got back into the game when Bruce went on to the ball, Longer came back on and we went to shit again.

Not saying it's all his fault but Hickey would give us a much better big man marking presence around the ground and he isn't a klutz at ground level either.

Paddy isn't much better than Longer, he clunks the odd good mark but he needs to be making an impact on the scoreboard as well to earn his keep.

Nah no way is it the recruitment staffs fault, it’s completelty riches fault we have Gresh who averaged 30 touches a game as a mid at under 18 level playing as a small forward, acres, Steele, Sinclair all inside mids playing as flankers/wingers it really shouldn’t be hard for richo it’s pretty much common sense to play players in their best position but I guess common sense isn’t so common with richo

I like Koby, but 2 contested possessions out of 19 for a "tough inside" player is almost as disgusting as his kicking today.

This is the bloke that we picked to start the season ahead of Dunstan, a former 1st rounder that we rate highly who finally put it all together after being dropped a few times and was our best player the last 6 weeks of 2017. Luke should've been brimming with confidence coming into this season and then we leave him out of the Round 1 and 2 sides for a 26 year old C-Grader who's at his 3rd club.
