Im just watching the game now in Perth. The runners for St Kilda are quite deliberately running on to the ground in the back half when the Bulldogs have possesion, and filling up holes in the zone. They loiter around 1 kick forward of the ball, and just stand still without giving a message.

My understanding is that they are meant to run on the ground, give a message to a particular player, and get straight off. Bulldogs should be furious that this went on. Anyone in Perth who is watching the game now can back this up. Its blatantly obvious what they are doing.

Runners really have no place in footy anymore, with the amount of rotations that occur these days.

They seem to be getting in the way quite a bit.

I agree and it looks ugly watching it with people other than players running around. Keep it to trainers only when someones hurt and after a goal is scored handing out drinks.. but then off before the ball is bounced back in the middle.

not a fan of this.

sydney and essendon mis-used runners in the past.

not necessary any more.

I wouldn't mind electronic boards to get players off rather than runners.

Not sure what you asking???

If you are scoffing at the Saints gameplan, then I will sort of agree.

It is essentially pure defence, flood plus zone and rolling the dice on the rebound.
Sure, but you tell me, is 5-1 better than 1-4? (yes i know you're a game behind)

Abolutely disgraceful.

Runners need to be removed from the game IMO.

Gameplan,
it's kinda like you're wiping your brow after wiping your arse,
and at the same time convincing everyone else you think you know what you think you are doing.

The bloke who was 20 metres out from goal with no angle, Who kicked it into the man, is the bloke who cost the dogs the game today. No one else. This was in the last 1/4 too.
