Are they in space? I've only had a chance to watch it once on the small screen, but this image appears to show lightning in the background. There's also lightning in the background when the Star Destroyers are rising from the water. Would make more sense if the native inhabitants of a planet are taking part in an attack as they fleet surfaces. I mean, I just can't imagine JJ having horses riding a Star Destroyer in space.

I think this movie will be JJ Abrams best he can do attempt to clean up Rian Johnson's Woke Wars in the previous movie.

Mandalorian and Kenobi look decent, Fallen order looks a smick game as well, but the trailer did nothing for me, they continue to pull things from everywhere and pop into existence just to have conflict and some stake to fight over.

They're not above introducing eggs just to crack open and hey presto, capital class vessels and replacement for Snoke since Kylo isn't up to it, Hux is a moron and Snoke is dead.

And every other film has made $1b; so maybe it's a new trend, maybe it's an anomaly. Hence why I said no one can make the claim with any degree of certainty. If this film makes $1b (and it certainly will), does that mean everything is copacetic again?


Which is why I said for what it's worth. I've never pre-booked a ticket in my life, I imagine it's a pretty small part of overall ticket sales.

Oh come on, the Falcon scenes were totally fan service and was bringing back the blue saber against all logic.

In isolation none of those things are but they do stick out on a movie that claims one of its themes is about leaving the past behind... rather aggressively too.
