It seems to me that he is a natural footballer in as much as he sees the game unfold in front of him and he has always been a step ahead of the game. Even at his peak he would sometimes kick the ball to where he thought someone should have been rather than where they were. (Doesn't quite make sense but hopefully you know what I mean) Right now he looks like he knows what he should be doing, but his reaction time has slowed and that first step he always took before anyone else is now being taken at the same time everyone else does. This brings him right back to the pack. His output is OK but he is now performig at levels that you expect of B graders at best. Maybe he is carrying something. I don't think so.
