There has been a few stories along these lines because Essendon appears to be the 1st "real unknown" as far has its' pick is concerned.

Most see the top 4 fairly settled, but the Bombers could just as likely select a KP tall, a midfielder or forward/midfielder.

Rumours were 1st of all Yarran now Hill. Could be all ducks and drakes throwing other recruiters off. No one is going to let anything out unless they want it known.

At a guess, I'd say Jack Zeibell.

I am struggling to get my head around the fact that this kid is the favourite for pick 3. I'm not saying that he can't play or that he is going to end up a dud, but at the same time, I don't see him being a top end talent and that's what you wan't with a top 3 draft pick

What are the recruiters seeing that I am not?

My point is, with a top 3 pick, clubs generally go for key players. KPP's, Rucks or on-ballers. Hill is neither. Based on what I have seen he looks like becoming a wingman. Those types of players aren't really a high priority. Last year we went for an on-baller with our first pick (Palmer) and a wingman with our second (Hinkley). I would prefer us to do the same again
 
Interesting to note that the Dorkers intend telling Rich or Hill which one they will take prior to the Draft.

Although these type of comparisons always look very farfetched and lofty, I don't think the Matera comparison is too bad ... but as with all young players he'll make his own way.

Uuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmm let's see.....Talent,Skill,Endurance,Determination,Speed...anything else....lol

There are many people that tick all those boxes as well.

We're talking about pick 3 in a strong draft. I'm still not 100% convinced he is a stronger choice than Rich, Ziebell, Hartlett, Yarran, Swift..........

All these players have qualities that also make a strong footballer, it is just trying to pick the best of the bunch.

It's rare to find someone with a mixture or speed/agilty and also have an elite tank. Also for an "outside" player he has extreme courage and attack on the ball. He doesn't take a backwards step and plays with real intensity. Imagine him with the frame, he'd be a beast. He's hard running as well. Disposal isn't bad, sometimes a bit inconsistent when kicking short. Decision making is sometimes hit an miss. However he is a booming kick. I'd say he'll get snapped up easily in the top 10. I can't see him falling that far... I think we were extremely keen on him but I think we've conceded he won't be there at our pick.

big call to pass on PROVEN midfielders in Rich and Hartlett

I really hope they pick up Hill.

It would give Richmond a better chance of getting someone like Hartlett. Plus it's always good to see Freo pushing boundaries and outsmarting the other clubs when it comes to list management :D
