So there's 3 cases to answer for it seems. 2 will get thrown out/not looked at, 1 with carry over may be a problem? Someone sort out what could happen.

Steve Johnson rule will apply to the silky vulture Goddard...they will look at Dal Santo's...would have got a couple between rnds 1 - 12..since Andrew Walker ruling who the hell knows.Roo is no hope to be pinged. Even if Tom Williams did a knee. It was deliberate...but he grabbed him by the leg tripping him rather than throwing out a leg.

If tripping gets a week, well he tripped him.

Will he get a week...no way. Nor should he really IMO.

Goddard though...well he should get a week. But again, he won't.

Didn't think they were overly impressive tonight...we should beat them...if we can't then clearly we don't deserve to be premiers.

They wont be suspended because:

1. A punishment of missing a GF, doesnt suit the crime

2. Everyone in the football world (except Collingwood supporters) wants the superstars playing

Completely agree with you James.

Currently, there's nothing in the rules ( as far as i know) that flags any concessions for indiscretions during the finals.

But I do agree with you and I think there should be some sort of flexibility with the lower end 'crimes'

eg Riewoldt missing a GF for that 'trip' would be an absurdity.

Though I think major indiscretions in GFs should also be judged differently to other games.

Imagine if say Baker played for the saints and KO'd swan and Pendles in the first five minutes, (or Leroy ironed out Roo or Lenny) really they should be sent off, don't you think?

Imagine a GF being won by a thug playing his last game, against your team.

The StKilda officials have just said they aren't aware of any report for Gilbert, it was an incident off the ball involving Brad Johnson.
