Thats more like it!
Bit like the days of old.
Now lets have some bull%$#* about 2010.
Any clubs going to open the wallet.
Which club would have to be dissapointed with there 2009 performance.
(Other than St Kilda.)
One u18's coach is very unlikely to be there next year.

Most clubs seem keen to place their efforts into getting ex jnr's back to their club and developing the young blokes (no cash, no jobs) much easier than recruiting. Not sure how our neighours in the CMFL manage it.

Whats up with the under 18 coach? (thankless job at the best of time)

The facts are that u did slag Connick of a number times on here.... And he wouldnt know who you are so dont ask others to identify themselves if u arent going to...

So J-Funk why is it that Rumbalara and Wentworth wouldnt welcome you bk to there football clubs?? And why does Falvo not want to play with you??
he will never find himself welcome back there again. the hierachy/community have already ready said it, too much of a disruption for the club/young kids etc, with his bad attitude on and off the field and other reasons.

all the talk this morning in the coffee room is about Mildura offering Andrew willowson from South Mildura the coaching job for 2010.

What are Mildura thinking, untried coach who is at the end of his career. Have they got no money to get a gun coach or does no one want the job?

if my memory serves me correct willowson retired at the end of 2008 and south talked him into playing again in march this year after cricket finished.
after the big spill in yesterdays paper on how mildura are searching the nation for the right coach to bring on their juniors i guess they are just full of shit as usual. willowson will be lucky to play out next year and serious doubt his body would see 2 years so why wouldnt mildura be after a younger proven coach who can develope the side over the next 2 to 3 years?

Next they will be employing stafford as their pre season and fitness coach for 2010 and sammy smythe as their skills coach:p

i think you will find Andrew has coached before,it may have been in a minor league but he does have experience.
Mildura could do a lot worse then have him as a coach. My understanding is he is very well respected by the SMFC for his leadership skills on and off the ground.Hopefully the doggies do not lose him if they do it will be Mildura gain as they have a very young list.

I'd doubt that they will give the job to Willison. Last I heard they were talking to a ruckmen from down Swan Hill way.

From the Swan Hill Football Club or the Swan Hill region. Sully lives in Swan Hill and is the only genuine ruckman in the CMFL in my opinion
Don't rate Wilkinson, Pye, Pollock, Ireland or Rhoda just of the top of my head. Your a tough judge. Be surprised if it's one of the Swan Hill boys as Hugh Foot is coaching them and Beasey is locked in as AC. Pretty thin after that.

No wasn't overly impressed with Wilkinson to be honest in the two games we played against them. Forgot about Wes Pye and Lee Pollock. Wes was terrific at his best but Pollock has never torn us apart like O'Sullivan consistently does.

Ryan is the best I have seen which is hard for me to say and he knows what I mean by that

Willow has been overed the job and i'd say he will give Mildura his answer this week. They also asked matt Chilton as well but he didn't want it.
Bloody Mildura poaching out best player, you would think with their contacts they could get someone from out of town to coach

I think it may have been Beasy. He must have knocked them back if they have offered the job to Willison.

Heard on the grapevine that a couple of Wentworth juniors are coming back to the fold this year??

Apparently Elliot Bowen & Daniel Elstone are the 2 in question. Will make Wenty favourites early if this is the case!!:thumbsu:

In news at Merbein the word is Ben Duscher will be back for the magpies which would be huge for them as they need some pace and experience to help there kids come through quicker.

Whats the news at other clubs remembering its silly season??:footy:

Elliot played with Ben Ducsher this year at Rochester.... The coach has walked out and apparently the players are leaving also. Heard from the same person that told me Ben was heading back.

Makes sense really as the only way clubs can recruit these days without goin over the points system is to recruit ex juniors!!:thumbsu:

As i said its silly season so not everything you hear will happen but just passing on info i was told.

Bigrig to you in future!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Love to know where the Bowen/Elstone one came from, but as a WW supporter "I wish!".

The word was that Elstone was tossing up what to do because Port Magpies were in such dissaray in Adelaide. Bowen would be pretty settled down that way. I did hear he had just started building a new house in Echuca.
Anyone heard anything at Imps? Apprently a few boys not happy with the coach being reappointed? Great bloke but just can't coach??? Burdett is one and the swallows are allready having a crack at him as there Assistant coach. Rumoured to be one or two others as well.
