Even Jack realizes it's finals time :p
"I think the most disappointing part is I went through all the tough times there and I can really see the club starting to move forward now and they can have some success in the future. It is going to be sad not being a part of that. I've got so many good mates there, so many good relationships, I'm just really disappointed I can't be a part of that

Poor guy, these are the types of blokes we wanted to keep all along. Sad.
Agree, and in reading the article that sounds like the cats have been into him for some time and if the AFL was going to allow them to spread his wage anyway we gave pick seven up for absolutely no reason. Craig Cameron is a cancer at this club.

I wouldn't go that far. I suspect they were interested in him at half his current salary if not for pick 7. No way they would have wanted to give up a pick for him and pay him $850k. It's not that binary.

Also their interest might have come as a result of us shopping him mid year.

That’s not what I’m saying I’m saying if they were into him which they clearly were a trade could’ve been made for I don’t know I haps a third rounder, and he could’ve gone to the cats and spread the payments, in other words exactly what happened without having to give up pick seven

Fair but we are both speculating. You have no idea if they were keen to do that. We know they were keen and we have no idea on what terms they were keen. Can speculate it in a negative light if you want to suit your narrative but we really don't know.

I don’t feel like I am spinning it to suit a narrative, it is one of if not the worst deal ever made in AFL history. I am however saying that Craig Cameron may not of done his due diligence and that the outcome may have been dramatically better. As you say, however, this is just an opinion, and I don’t know the inner workings any more than anybody else.

Yeah we all have our natural dispositions though and yours is that you don't like him so you'll speculate on what happened in a way to suit your view of him without knowing what actually happened. We all do it, some in reverse (a positive spin). I have been vocal in my disappointment about the Bowes situation but we still know very little about the deal, our TPP structure and what actually happened internally.

I don’t like or dislike him, I don’t know him personally to make that assumption. However, I certainly don’t rate his abilities whatsoever.

I trust you’ll inform Mark Evan’s on this.
I doubt Mark cares about my opinions on himself or his staff. My focus will be on the facts, outcomes, and what is happening to change the narrative, not focused on individuals. I have made no secret of the fact I don’t rate Cameron at all however.

Mark may be able to Give me some insights that I had not previously seen. I am more than happy to listen and am hopeful that once hearing what he has to say my views may alter

Having said the above, I do have a very good bullshit detector, so I will know if it’s platitudes or a solid plan

Problem is that Iva stated multiple times that the whole club is a f*** joke, not just Cameron. Not sure how Evans will take it if Iva is honest and tells Evans that he is an idiot and should resign together with Dew and Cameron. Actually, not sure if anybody is allowed to stay :p

IMO, no team would touch Bowes and his full salary without pick 7. My guess without pick 7 we would end up paying probably half and still had to chip in pick 2nd.

It's naive to think it's just Cameron's decision. There are regular list management meetings - all major people involved, and major decisions approved by board.

I know you don’t agree with my views, and that’s fine, not sure why you feel the need to personally attack my views, however. After all nobodies perfect are they?

Not attacking at all. Did not you write it multiple times here? Why not to be honest and tell Evans what you really think about him and the club? Nothing wrong with that if you believe that. I would love to see his response.

You just accused my point of view is being naive, you also stated that nobody would’ve touched bowes without pick seven being attached, I dare say you have absolutely no insight into this any more than I or anybody else with opposing views does

Come on guys take it to the BDSM thread or the Marc Lock thread.

You just accused my point of view is being naive
That was not aimed at you. A lot of people believe it's just Cameron's decision. Sorry if you took it that way. It was publicly stated that the club has regular list management meetings, with coaches, admin involved and board approving major decisions. Even team leaders are involved.

As for pick 7 to be involved or not, yes just speculations from all of us.

When I said that I meant you dislike his ability. I know you don't know him personally mate. My point remains regarding your negative bias.
