Heading into his fourth campaign, forward/midfielder Sam Flanders has been doing additional running sessions and is in super shape.

Who is starting on time?
Defender Charlie Ballard (knee) and forward Joel Jeffrey (knee) missed the last four and nine rounds respectively this year but should have no limitations by the beginning of pre-season.

No Suns players required off-season surgery but several were now on the comeback trail.
Ben King (knee), Wil Powell (ankle) and Bodhi Uwland (back) are building into full training.
Veteran Sam Day is on a modified program after having knee surgery and missing the final game of last season.

New faces
Former Brisbane forward Tom Berry is rehabilitating from shoulder surgery and is also building back into full training.

I just did my first Noosa tri.

Sam well and truly kicked my butt!
Nice job......hope you see your way clear to continue with it.....good way of keeping fit.

Always wanted to do one, but real life got in the way. Managed quite a few 1/2 marathons and a few City to Surfs (Syd CBD to Bondi), and I did manage 1 marathon, the 1984 Gold Coast marathon, and after I finished it and my mates asked me how I went.......always told them I went 3hrs +..........and when asked for exact time I told them 3hrs 84min......:D:D:D

Travis Cloke did it also. I wonder if a few ex players participated in it. I did a tri in high school. Tough gig.

Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com
I just checked out his performance.

I beat his swim time by 3 mins but he had a much faster bike and run than me.

I saw Travis boak when searching for Cloke but he was a DNS.

A bunch of friends decided to sign up after a few of us recently had children - to try and prevent the true dad bod haha. Although life got in the way and training was very limited.. wasn’t sure how it would go.. but it was good fun,

Now we got the first one out of the way and confirm we can do it, planning to go again next year and do a lot better!

Doing something like that with a group of mates is always a lot better....getting the time to train is the problem, esp if there's family involved.

I'm doing a Pattaya Monkey run next month (it'll be mostly a walk for me), held every 2 months and anywhere from 15-25klms (2-4hrs) mostly, in the surrounding countryside and probably around 30-35C......it will be my 59th run with them.....

59th!
A true Pattaya monkey run legend.

Some of these are very very very optimistic, Crows and Giants in particular
I was wondering most about St Kilda.

2025-2027 premiership window.
Who are the midfielders winning this premiership??
Their core players will be pretty old by then for their window to just be opening.

Sinclair 31-34
Steele 30-33
Billings 30-33
Marshall 30-33
Clark 27-30
Gresham 28-31

Guess they're relying on youngsters drafted last year and future draftees.

Our predicted window seems pretty accurate. We're probably going to partake in the finals next year but the likelihood of us being a genuine premiership threat seems low. It's at this point we hope to strike gold by bringing in an A grader that will open our premiership window for us. Then we can have a genuine crack at the 2024 flag. Well, that's the plan anyway.

Very interesting to hear Longy say that getting the opportunity to play some home games in Darwin was a factor behind his decision to join us and it's probably an indication that the club is using the Darwin games as incentive to recruit NT players. Benny also mentioned that another drawcard for him was already knowing some of the Darwin boys at the club and there was a desire to play with them too. So we've got Ben Long, Malcolm Rosas Jr, Joel Jeffrey and Sandy Brock on the list at the moment but it seems like there's still a good chance we're going to add Jed Anderson and Lloyd Johnston to our rookie list as well. I'd be surprised if six NT boys wasn't the most of any club in the AFL.
