We’re getting pumped up on the AFL website lately
Puff pieces on Flanders, lukosius, hollands.

I mean they’re easy to write positive things about, just not used to it.
Suns are a pretty obvious candidate to rise up this season, there are a lot of good things to say currently.

Hollands will gut Sharp this year
Attitude and workrate so superior

Maybe the most interesting thing said by Dew over the pre-season was about needing Sharpie to turn his training form into game form. Sounds like the issues are mental/confidence rather than with getting him to do the work.

Like a golfer with a great swing and great touch who dominates the driving range and when they are out just having a hit, but once a competition gets going they get in their own head and end up cactus. Hopefully he has been working on that all off-season, big year for him.

In his 5 game career we’ve seen him take an inside 50 contested mark, snap goals on the run and hit the scoreboard regularly, hit targets and look composed.

We know he can run
we know he will be a leader.

I think his goal of playing every game and becoming a key component to the side is a great goal and totally realistic.

I remember Sharpie's first few games.I was absolutely horrified by his lazy running. He was playing wing and running ruckman's lines .He got me going with a few great goals on the run over the past couple of years but I'm just not convinced

He's always near the front in the training runs, can't be a fitness issue. Make or break when he gets a chance this year. If he's not up to it it will be time to move on and try someone else.

Lynch Dixon Day
Ablett Swallow Bennel Prestia Caddy
May Thompson Bock

Pretty decent
The issue wasn’t the players, it was the clubs inability to get the best out of them. You can argue whether that was the AFL or the clubs fault ( likely a bit of both) but either way it was a waste

Interview link inside article - Dew on forward line. For me Casboult out. You?

IMO, I would Casboult train with defence as a backup. He can always play forward if injuries hit. Day looked a bit lost down back yesterday and should be forward depth.
Although it's unlikely all five (King, Chol, Casboult, Luko, Jefffrey) could play in the same team, Dew said he was seriously considering playing four of them.

At the moment it seems Jeffery is the one on the outer but his form in pre season is probably the best out of the lot. Going to be interesting.

Not sure Jeffrey is on outer. Probably best yesterday from fabulous five. Dew had high praise for him in interview. Definitely it will be interesting.

I missed this Jed Anderson interview last week. Here is the link for those interested.
