The guys look like they are having a great time in the NT. Although it sucks not having a couple more games at heritage bank this partnership is going beautifully. Ben long looks to be absolutely loving the opportunity to get back up there and its surely attractive for other NT boys in the future.

Hopefully not too much... lol

Unfortunately after this week the current partnership is expired.

Will find out Thursday what lies ahead though

Wow, really? So it's possible that this Saturday night will be our last home game in Darwin?

It is entirely possible. However I would say it is odds on that we get at least some sort of arrangement with the NT!

Our best chances are Ballard, Witts, Anderson and (based on the past few weeks) Rowell.

Hope Ballard gets some recognition in the second half of the year. Heard a few sections of the media mentioning him briefly, but his season has been unreal.

I would argue that Rowell has had a better season so far than Anderson, he just doesn't get the high possession games to grab the media and opposition spectators attention.
Anderson played more consistent (kicking goals too) in the first part of the season. Rowell’s last few weeks have been BOG level though. Media are definitely noticing him now!

Disagree.
Ando has gone to another level, kicking goals, high in score involvements, high in clearances. Rowell last few weeks have been great but Ando has been amazing.

Yeah recency bias is making people here think Rowell. Ando has been a top 5 mid this season imo. Rowell aint having it though and more games like that well be laughing.

FWIW they are now both top 40 in the SI AFL Player ratings. We currently have 3 midfielders in the top 40 (incl Touk) as well as Witts.

We definitely have an elite midfield, especially for clearances and stoppages.

However, we do get burned on the outside, especially if another team starts winning the taps or the clearances. We basically have to win from the centre (which is true for many teams, but 100% true for us).

Yeah and Touk was top 3 before his injury. Rowell will easily be top 10 with a couple seasons of this form.

Suns’ burning question: Does their backline get enough credit?

Gold Coast’s uptick in form has gone under the radar, winning four of its last six games to sit in striking distance of the top eight. And the club’s backline led by Charlie Ballard has been key to this run. Stats shown on Fox Footy’s AFL 360 revealedthe Suns are the ranked No. 2 in the AFL in defensive one-on-ones, with Ballard the No. 1 rated intercept mark in the AFL and on track to break the record the record for the most intercept marks in a season. Will Powell is also rated elite in intercept marking, while Darcy MacPherson is ranked elite at intercepting in and Sam Collins and Ben Long are rated above average. “I just think we need to talk more about this group, because over the last six weeks they are third-hardest team to score against when the ball goes inside their defensive 50,” dual All-Australian Leigh Montagna said on AFL 360. “We talk a lot about Matt Rowell and Noah Anderson, but their defenders are getting the job done. (Ballard) has to be in the (All-Australian) conversation.”

Ballard was getting some raps in AFL daily. Barret obviously didn’t give a glowing recommendation in response, but at least other people are throwing his name around as a potential AA.
Barrett is our biggest hater, don't bother with any of his opinions

Opposition coaches know about Chucky.
Which is why dickwad Van Rooyen was instructed to punch him in the head by Simon Cuck Goodtime
But you know"it's part of the game-earning his marks"
