I always liked the 9'ers (huge Steve Young fan) but this is pathetic from an organisation that should be above this.

NFC East play the NFC West next year. Hope 49ers get Dallas and Phili back to back.

TBF to Aiyuk, he said that when he went on a 9ers fans podcast for free, I think he was just playing to the audience. He was pissed at Cohn for reporting that and making him look bad.

That might be fair enough but it was very naive of him to think comments like that wouldn't get out there.

As a salty 49ers fan myself, I wouldn't be directing any salt at the Eagles. Decent chance a fit Purdy still gets dominated by the Eagles D. Although it is frustrating that we didn't get a chance to see how it turned out, you can only beat who's in front of you and the Eagles have done that, while also being the best team basically the whole year.

Any salt going around should probably be directed at the front office, who have done a great job at most of the roster build except for QB. Unfortunately that's like building an amazing house except forgetting to put a decent roof on and then complaining when it rains and your house gets flooded.

The last 4-5 years have been a massive what-if for the organisation. Could have been a chance at one or two SBs if there was a functional QB, but instead there are none and the team in danger of splitting up in the not too distant future.

I think thats why so many of them are salty, including ex players. They had a "dynasty" window abd came away with nothing. Also, good on them, traditionally a strong org, a contender, so they expect to win all the time.

So I watched all the skills challenges.
What a load of crap.
And worse, the commentators hyping it all up, getting all into it.
Goodell out there smiling and laughing, **** off.

Dodgeball was dodgeball, meh.

Flag football was lame.

Move the chains waste of time.

Best Catch the worst of them all.

Gauntlet was like that reality tv show obstacle course, but stupid anyway.

Lightning round was pathetic, catching water balloons first part, and then catching punt like high balls, was better, an actual football skill.

Precision passing is ok, but only confirms each time that Marino is king.

Kick-Tac-toe was actually interesting.

Longest drive was probably the best just to see how they go hitting a golf ball (but again unrelated to football)....Hockenson nailed a couple but Poyer with the very last swing of the day won with 320 yards...he looks like someone who golfs.

If they were to continue with a skills challenge pro bowl event, they should focus on actual football skills, like a combine.

Or they could incorporate some things like longest thrower, sprint race, tug o war OL and DL, arm wrestle, strongest man, shit like that.

Or just cancel the whole thing and play a game of football but gotta give them an incentive like huge money to make them actually bother.

Or just don't even have a game, or pro bowl event itself, we can have a week off football or maybe they can telecast the Shrine Bowl. Or don't schedule the Super Bowl a fortnight after the conference games.

Already said...no point a pro bowl thread, and pro bowl happens during the SB week, so im dumping (pun intended) them in here, as it's during the week....just like when we have a week 15 thread and other stuff, news happens inside week 15 we post it there not the week 16 thread

It may be annoying to many and i apologize but you can see the logic for it.

Chiefs placed Mecole Hardman (pelvis) on injured reserve.

Hardman was listed as doubtful last week after exiting early in the AFC Conference championship against the Bengals. Head coach Andy Reid was also on record last week saying he doubts Hardman will play in the Super Bowl, so this news doesn't come as much of a surprise. With Hardman officially sidelined, the Chiefs have activated running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who should play in next week's game against the Eagles, but could be limited given the emergence of other players in Kansas City's offense. Hardman battled with injuries all season, appearing in just eight regular season games while catching 25 passes for 297 yards and four touchdowns. His appearance in the the AFC Championship Game marks the only playoff game he played in this postseason.
