So Mcartin will either be squeezed out or put to the backline. Would suit our list perfectly if this is Jacks last year.

Reckon it will be if he gets to 300 games and 700 goals , great milestones ....and another flag . Would retire with 700 goals 300 games 4 flags and at least 3 aa, 3 Colemans and 2 b&f ...surely a first batch AFL hall off famer

is undersized, CCJ is untested, Chol has performed poorly as a key forward, Miller is not a forward. We could possibly throw one of our magnificent 7 forward (probably Rance v2 or Broad) but it's not the likely to work.

I doubt he is anywhere close to AFL fitness levels, but if Paddy McCartin wanted to try out for a rookie spot I wouldn't say no. 100 to 1 against him making it, but just imagine the melts if he did...

As long as we have Lynch available then having untried/unproven options playing along side him shouldn't really make a big difference. We've won games over the last 2 years when Riewoldt has been missing by having the second tall play their role and allowing us to maintain our structure.

FWIW CCJ is the ideal substitute for Riewoldt if he misses games as the kid has shown that he can clunk marks up forward and have a big impact. The bonus is that he is also competitive in the ruck so we'd lose nothing there.

Unfortunately for McCartin the fact that a lot of his concussions have come through incidental contact rather than violent collisions has probably meant that his career at the highest level is over.

Jack back at the mcg next yr wouldnt be suprising if he gets back to his best and go around again in 2022. Keep playing till your body tells you to stop hes the type of bloke that kicks 3 goals in a qtr or sets 3 up in a qtr.

With Concussion issue's like what McCartin has suffered i dont think you ever get over them as some of them were almost like really soft hits
I think its best for his health if he called it a day as he really just this year started to feel better after 2 years. I would pass

I just want us to look for the highest potential KPFs available. In fact the highest potential players around. Those that we think have potential to be at least B grade AFL players. What we most need are KPFs.

If I haven't heard of them, then hopefully that means our recruiting guys are looking at people we simply don't know.

Anyway, what I expect is that I won't know if we've done the right thing for about 2 years at least.
