I'm too old for the cheer squad but really admire what they do. I have seen first hand how much work goes into the banner and the commitment that the members make to cheer on the Kangas.

But I've been put off by the behaviour of a few, had a few run ins with the Bear ( Through no fault of my own, or the Bears) but because an ex friend was being stupid.

Really pisses me off when they start clapping and turning around while not focusing when its the most important parts of the game.

Why PM? Start a new thread. We should crank up some chant suggestions.

I've been looking into it as well, there's a few stunners in there ;-)
But I've been put off by the behaviour of a few, had a few run ins with the Bear ( Through no fault of my own, or the Bears) but because an ex friend was being stupid.

I sat there at the first Dees game this season, and saw quite a few budding starlets, but some elder cheer squad members gettin stuck into Jonny Hay was a bit average.

A few others and I have started a new unofficial supporters group called the Arden Street Army. Our aim is to create some more active support at North games.
It is not that we have anything against the cheersquad, they do a great job with the banners, its just that some of us do not really agree on the way that they do things.

Anyway we have about 9 members so far, mainly due to the lack of exposure so we need to get the word out.
We need more members so please register on our forum.
