Yeah I'm a bit confused about who is on which side now.. I'm guessing Tina and Katie voted for Laura/Ciera, given Tina's meltdown in the preview for next week. Actually I think they showed Katie voting for Ciera.
John looked so lanky and out of place in that challenge, I vastly overestimated his chances in that sort of challenge!

Unless I missed something the alliances are pretty straight forward. Laura M just joined her daughter with Tyson, Gervase, Caleb, and Hayden. Not sure what Monica ended up doing. Guess she went with the singles and voted Aras.
Disappointed in the brothers. They were asleep. The votes were a bit weird because they were that cocky and clueless that they thought they could split their votes.

It was Vytas and Aras voting for Laura, Katie and Tina voting for Ciera and the rest voting for Aras.
I'm disappointed they didn't see it coming (or at least see that it was a possibility!) but to be honest they really didn't have a play even if they were aware. They could have tried the couples card but there would have been practically zero chance of Laura M siding with Aras. Monica was wise to switch but I think since she has no connections on the 'singles side' she will be voted out after Tina, Katie and Vytas.
Tyson and Gervase are definitely the power 'couple' left in the game but it will be interesting to see what happens when it gets down to the final 6, assuming they last that long. Caleb & Hayden would be wise to take Laura M & Sierra over Tyson & Gervase to the final 4. Then of course when/who comes back from Redemption will add another element of intrigue.
So it seems to me like the next 3-4 weeks will be rather boring before we hit the final 6/7 and then it will become very interesting. Of course I could be wrong and it could all change next week!
EDIT: In terms of the season as a whole I think the blood vs water aspect has turned it into a couples game with those left without a loved one choosing to 'partner up' in order to get further e.g Tyson & Gervase and Hayden & Caleb

Yeh, but it was also funny that she still didnt realise Monica had flipped, as she said that's 5 votes you aint getting, when only 4 people didnt vote for Aras.

Nobody liked Aras for the same reasons that Tina is next regardless what happens (except Tina winning immunity). Previous winner + loved one = goodbye.
It would be pretty silly of them not to vote Vytas out next. Then one of Aras/Vytas are eliminated on redemption.

To me it's clear that the objective of the whole game has been to break up the couples.

Yeah, I think they should get Vytas out to make sure only one of them can possibly come back. But I'd be bummed because I really want Vytas to win.
I want Tyson to get to the end because he is such great entertainment value (all his monologues are brilliant), but I still want Vytas to win. I guess I just like his story.

To me all they did was try to vote out whoever had a loved one still in the game.
Rupert looks strong lets hit Laura B.
We don't like Gervase lets hit Marissa.
Tyson is still in lets hit Rachel.
Hayden is still in lets hit Kat.
I guess the producers needed to find out what people would do. Now we don't need to bother with this gimmick again. Not that it has produced a bad season just that all people want to do is clear the board until it's an individual game again.

John never stood a chance in that challenge, i bet the producers tried to set it up so Laura M got back into the game to give more couples at the merge. Wish John could have kept battling it out at redemption instead of sending him home.
Having a family member on the jury is going to have a huge effect on how the game is played out. There is no way anyone is going to take someone with a loved one on the jury. Its a guaranteed vote and the love one on the jury could have been talking and manipulating the rest of the jury members. I think Vytas, Tina, Laura M, Ciera and Katie are all as good as gone. They really should have not been so shortsighted and held grudges and they all could have taken complete control on the game.
