Dee was pretty close to a lock iirc but Jesse was thought to be too. 43 could fit pretty well with your theory just thinking about it

Andy/Cody
Gen/Karla
Rachel/Jesse

Which could leave

Sue/Gabler
Sam/Cassidy
Teeny/Owen

Which would be a hell of a finale

Jesse had obvious winner edit for sure. I would say the difference between Rachel and him is that Rachel has won a heap of challenges so at F4 she has more control over her fate.

But hey it is still possible she gets done in fire. If Sam puts himself into fire and beats her, fair play, it would be a bit of a horror end to the season if she got beaten by Sue in fire :$

Its actually pretty hard to think of a scenario where one of Rachel/Sam aren't winning both the challenge and fire and both making final tribal. Maybe Sue could be a surprise fire threat? Maybe Sam could go against Rachel in fire if he won the challenge but both have played a good enough game to probably not want to risk that

Damn. The two hour Finale is being shown live at noon on Thursday on 9GO. I made plans to have an early Christmas lunch with friends. I liked us seeing the Finale live previously while my brother in Phoenix had to wait two hours because of his time zone.

Caught up with this season thanks to the 9now app and was able to power through a number of episodes to bring myself up to speed. Really enjoying this one and the last two episodes in particular have been standouts.

The operation Italy thing, I don’t know how but they pulled it off. That was a hell of a thing to land, from that position, for it to actually work is some genius gameplay really. Well played and I’m glad it happened because otherwise it was shaping up to be quite a predictable final 4.

The Sue face thing is almost farcical. Utterly bizarre. More so though I find her irrational distaste towards Kyle to be way over the top. Quite an unlikable character for me overall, was hoping the likes of Sol or Kyle made it deeper into the game.

Hard to see how Rachel doesn’t win it all from here. She seems very adept at fire making too so for the others they’d be hoping she fails to win immunity and somewhere someone nudges her out at the fire challenge. Perhaps if Sam wins immunity, he may nominate himself to take her on at fire making in a bid to conjure votes for example? Don’t know.

Was quite enjoying her head to head against Genevieve and the editing fooled me into thinking they didn’t believe the fake idol stuff and were going to vote Sam anyway.

Good season this, looking forward to the finale.

Jeff would be ecstatic with this new era of extended episodes, as he's managed to almost get rid of the reunion or whatever they call it now. An 80min episode and could barely allocate 10 minutes for post winner talk + 2 minutes to spruik the next season.

Kat Edorsson would've been even more concerned that she wouldn't be seen as dateable if she didn't make the jury in the new era.

As per earlier post, I hate the fire making challenge - there has to be a better way to get to the final three.

Anyone else surprised the final challenge was effectively a standard challenge? i.e. not the one with the rolling balls

I prefer final challenges to be the endurance type

The fire challenge was determined by the last gusts of wind. Teenie had it.

Sue suddenly found her articulation at Tribal. Did appearing to be the uncertain dithering mess get her to the final three?

Ultimately the finale was a let down. I’m hoping 48 sees a finale with at least a two horse race.

Edging closer to 50. It will be March 2026 when it airs. Be fascinating to see if it returns to its original format, but more importantly who will be the Cast.

I think Sue was happy to make the final 3 and didn’t seem to really give a crap about winning. She was all about a 59yo getting that far.

I thought it was typical American hilarity when the cast feigned being shocked by her reveal on her age.

I wonder if they stopped them from leaving their seat? In previous seasons players have got up and blocked the wind with their body? I was surprised she didn't do that, if they were allowed surely at least Rachel would have told her to do it even if she didn't think about it herself.

I thought Rachel's final tribal was poor but they no doubt picked out the worse bits so people thought Sam might have some chance of getting votes.

Yes it did seem the editing perhaps presented Sam with the better final tribal. However they did seem to all acknowledge that in the reunion segment. I thought he did really well and I was surprised to see him not garner more votes. His answer in particular around the times he was targeted and his name written down etc was a standout.

Deserving winner in the end, even though it became almost a formality the moment she won the immunity last week. Good season overall without the grandstand finale to cap it off.

The Teeny comment around moving desks had me chuckle like the others seemed to, that was so random.

The entire jury when Sue tried to drop the "I'm not 45" bombshell on them:
straight-face-the-office.gif

Also Teenie's rant about never been asked by the teacher to move desks around at school tops even Andy's pathetic comment about them not cheering for him when he opened a coconut. Jesus christ it would be hard work playing with these new era players.
She would have to go down as one of the worst, most oblivious players to somehow make it to final 4. Just zero awareness of anything going on, ever.

"It doesn't matter what these 3 think of me, it matters what the jury thinks of me."

Oh honey. They think you're useless too.
