I wish he'd shut his damn mouth and not ask them any questions. It often gives the vote away! It should be secret ballot. It would be better if he asked them questions after the vote.

It's part of his job. It's fantastic insight into the players minds and in a lot of cases, makes the tribes get into heated arguments. Also, especially this season, he's taking a much harder stance with the Survivors, asking them harder questions and more questions to the point. I'm loving it.

Yeah he talks way too much, not just at the tribal councils but during the group challenges. He just sits there sledging them all the time "Sandra's struggling to hold her grip", "The pressures on Colby with this next throw" etc. They must just feel like telling him to STFU.

Phil Keoghan from The Amazing Race is a much better host, he just gives the contestants their instructions at the start of the race and then the only other time they see him after that is at the pit stops. He doesn't rock up during the road blocks or detours and start sledging them and trying to put them off.

I've watched every Survivor season since Thailand, and every series of The Amazing Race, and there is NO WAY Phil comes close to Jeff in terms of hosting. All Phil does is wait at the Pit-Stop, and do pre-recorded instruction videos. Jeff is always at the challengers, and at the Tribal Councils. He's far more involved, and that's why he gets a lot more connected to the players. Plus the commentating during the challengers is to also help the viewer, as it gives us a better understanding of where everyone is up to. I've got nothing but compliments for Jeff Probst.

Yeah I remember reading, I think it might have been one of his post-episode blogs, that he's deliberately being a hard ass to the Survivors this year, and I'm loving it. The exchange with Colby at the chocolate sample, then the challenge was gold. "We'll start when I'M READY to go."

Comparing Jeff and Phil is just plain stupid, they are both very different shows, of course Phil wont be doing commentary at the challenges because they are not ever teams taking on each over head on at the same time, they are in different countries a lot of the time and are often hours apart.

I love Phil, I love The Amazing Race. One of my favorite shows.

But Survivor > everything and Jeff Probst is a top host. Like a fine wine, getting better with age.

I was somewhat disappointed Amanda didn't say ferk it at that moment and just read the clue out to all of them.

First time, no one noticed Parv hiding the clue while they were eating. Although crazy Amanda wasnt around ..
