Attention seeking Ex trying to justify a salary + Insecurity from a fan of lower club hoping to pump their tyres up

Moronic waste of time.

All it took was for a cpl of guys to not miss simple shots from right in front in the last qtr and the headlines would be "Pies cooked" or "Sydney favorites"

Fact is it didnt happen, was a tight contested game between two of the top clubs and we blew it. Good on em.

Lets not forget how fickle these types are, and their personal agenda's.

Both Syd and Coll have beaten more of the top bunch than anyone, plus both have proved themselves in AWAY games.

Dont care about Adelaide's draw...they've proven themselves too.

Mike is quickly alienating people who respect him with this media gig.

Simple fact is even if you take him at his word and say hawks are far better then the swans (ATM they look far better then the whole competition)

Then are collingwood far better then us? An 8 point loss suggests no a bit better certainly good enough to tip us but not miles ahead.

So do we deserve a top 2 spot? Well here's the thing mick the hawks would be in a better place for top 2 if they hadn't lost to
North (who we beat) if the didn't loose to the cats (who we beat) and most importantly if they hadn't lost to us.Then they would already be in the top 2

Simple fact if you play who's in front of you, I wonder what mick will say if we somehow beat the hawks for the second time this year.

Well no, but that's because Collingwood fans will either steal your car or bash your grandmother if you insult them.

Sometimes we bash your car and steal your grandmother, just to mix it up a bit..

I'm not a fan of conspiracy theories, but this one comes pretty close to just being a big Vic whinge at the uppity 'inter-staters'.

Possible alternative conspiracy theory..

Mick Malthouse does not want to see Nathan Buckley win the premiership a year after replacing him as the incumbent Collingwood coach.

Mick knows that the Pies have a phenomenal record against both Adelaide and Sydney in recent years, and that there is a high probability the Collingwood will have to play at least one of these two teams in a final.

Mick lights an 'Adelaide and Sydney are over-rated' hand grenade and lobs it into the media sphere..

Mick laughs like Dr. Evil..

We beat north by over 100 points, I think it's Richmond you're thinking of that we lost badly to.

I personally believe the Hawks are the best team in the competition at the moment but the fact is that they lost games they shouldn't have early in the season and that's why they're not at the top of the ladder. We play both Hawthorn and Geelong in the last 3 games so maybe the Hawks will end up in the top 2 by then.

Clearly an article written for the sake of controversy.

No worse I was looking at your first loss to the cats. I excluded the tigers game as we lost to them as well.

In any case the point stands you play who's in front of you.

Easy draws are rubbish no one expected the demons to be rabble,
The media didn't expect Port to implode.

Should anyone playing those teams twice be told they have any easy draw?

I mean FFS collingwood travels less then any other team in the league and mick wants to bring up unfair draws?

If it was collingwood and Hawthorn above sydney and adelaide thers still an argument that they get home finals which may not be warranted bacasue of anomolias in the H&A

Its not right that 'advantages' in the H&A get carried into the finals.

You are $1.70 for the Minor Premiership yet $7 for the Premiership

If you think you are a genuine chance, then put some $$$ on it

So being $7 means we're no chance? Lol.

You're extremely stupid if you don't think Adelaide are a chance to take the flag. Any year a team finishes top 4 they will be some sort of chance, top 2 even moreso because of the possibility of 2 home finals. Personally, I think it'll be between Hawthorn & Collingwood, but Adelaide are most certainly a chance if we play our best footy. To say otherwise reeks of trolling and/or bias

How much $ have you bet on Adelaide?

To get $7 on a team that is almost certain to finish on top and get 2 home finals, only needing to come to Melbourne for the Grand Final if they win them seems like awesome value.

Clearly not many people are taking up the $7

Collingwood travel 5 times in 2012, how many Melbourne based teams travel more than that (not excluding home games they have sold)?

Collingwood have already played, and beaten:

Brisbane at the Gabba
Adelaide at AAMI
Sydney at ANZ
GWS at Skoda

Will play, and beat, WC at Subi in two weeks.

When 10 of the 18 teams are victorian based (55%) it makes sense that 6 of Collingwood's 11 away games (55%) are also in Melbourne.

How many times did the pies travel while mick was coaching? Not many times..and he had so many advantages.

This just shows how flipping worried the stupid victorians are. Maybe hold another summit and hatch a plan where victorian teams are allowed to tank given the best picks and then they can dominate again while the victorian based AFL can turn a blind eye.

I hope you hawthorn fans hate when you see the ladder and see your team sitting 3rd. Poor flipping diddums.

He has a good point, I still think at least the Swans are still a very good side, even though they haven't been covincingly good the last few weeks. Round 22 will tell.

Why do you relate everything back to betting? I don't bet on footy period, doesn't mean I don't think we are a chance.

It is great value isn't it? Possibly two home finals, and what if we meet our bitches Sydney in the GF? Nothing is certain in footy these days, and yes clearly not many people are taking the $7, doesn't mean we're not some chance though.

When Mick was coaching Collingwood would travel 4 times.

Back then, 10 of the 16 teams were Victorian = 63%
We would play 7 of our 11 away games in Victoria = 64%

It is pretty simple isn't it, Collingwood play a fair amount of games in Victoria, and now that more teams are based outside of Vic, the % of away games outside of Victoria is again in proportion.

This just shows how flipping worried the stupid victorians are. Maybe hold another summit and hatch a plan where victorian teams are allowed to tank given the best picks and then they can dominate again while the victorian based AFL can turn a blind eye.
It is just fact really....most bookies rate Hawthorn and Collingwood as the best two chances to take out the flag in 2012....despite them being 3 & 4 on the ladder.

I hope you hawthorn fans hate when you see the ladder and see your team sitting 3rd. Poor flipping diddums.
Hawks aren't 3rd.

4th..even better..suck it up!

Poor victorians..can't have another period of non victorian dominance can we. I am sure the AFL will help out the shit vic clubs so they will always be there.

And yes Collingwood have had it easy as much as you try to spin it otherwise.
