-Hayward is seriously something. Even tonight chased so hard and almost kicked one of the goals of the season
- Mills finally was moved to the wing
-Jones has had a great season
- I'm hammered
- My wife loves the game despite me getting cranky although she just liked a few players.
- I won at the races

Negatives

-Smith, Jack are absolutely cooked
-Gameplan exactly what is it?
- Lost this at the selection table

Ugly

- Carlton will beat us next week

Thought melican was ok. Tippett, Jack are done. Season pretty much done, play the kids.

Too angry to post my full thoughts. A few key points for me-

- Jpk, your a warrior, a legend of the club, but mills revving the group at half time is piss weak.

- would not have made a difference in the end, but the aliir call was 100% wrong. Shows incompetence on horse's behalf.

-ive defended him in the past, but tippett is shit, looks like he is just collecting pay cheques.

- two best entries going forward came from heeney and mills, two players for whatever reason horse refuses to play in the middle

- They may lack insignificant qualities such as ability to actually play football, but foote and sinclair both try their absolute guts out every chance they get, and they deserve respect for that. Hell of alot more passion and effort than number 8. That hit that foote copped and immediately got up from would have floored hanners for 10 minutes and put tippett out for 8 weeks.

- at this point, id rather play sinclair than tippett. At least callum gives a fu@$

I know people are blaming the coach and there may be some truth in that to an extent but all our experienced players are so down on form. These are good players. Buddy and Kennedy are great players (as we all know) but even they haven't been playing up to their standards. I really don't know WTF has happened. As some have said maybe the GF has really messed with their minds. The start to this season cannot be all on the coach IMO. The coach isn't out there turning it over and making mistake after mistake.

I still think we will win the next 5 though.

Tippett looked a million bucks in the first 5 minutes. Crashing packs, playing with confidence. As soon as it got tough he disappeared, and that's the issue. He's so much a confidence player (as a forward) that he'll never lift the team, he'll always be icing. Which isn't necessarily a problem, it can be the difference between a top 4 team and a Premier. But when the team is playing shit he'll frustrate us all.

The year is a write off now, if it wasn't already. Do we beat Carlton? Who the heck knows? I have zero confidence that we will. Some major decision needs to be made about Tippett, how many chances does he get? Keep playing the kids horse, it's refreshing to see and we are gone for the year anyway.

They aren't even doing the simple things right (and that first quarter effort against Collingwood was just so, so bad - can't blame the coach for that IMO).

I am not going to pretend to know more about football than an actual coach and maybe some on here but I really don't think it all comes down to gameplan, something is missing this year with the players. Belief/confidence, effort? I don't know. Some players look almost disinterested.
