The_Reaper put together an unusual mix of Pokemon, that are all deadly in their own right and areas.
These seedings are completely random.

Yeah, for 7 of them, they're random. Very close to call, any of that 7 could take the crown on their day. Truly why it is the Champions League.

8th team? What 8th team? Isn't it a bye because you could only get 7 close and competitive players on board?

To round out tonights group placements, Fryer brings the only really themed team to the League with a sand focus, which could be a massive advantage over the course of the competition.

Quick question, how does the fixturing work? Just play whenever you want? Is there a time limit to when the games must be played? Or is there going to be set fixtures?

Yeah just play whenever you can schedule a match, hopefully have the first 6 matches done within a few weeks or so, you can play everyone once and then go again or double up on the same person back to back it doesn't really matter.

I'm pretty happy with our group's standings already.

Yeah just play whenever you can schedule a match, hopefully have the first 6 matches done within a few weeks or so, you can play everyone once and then go again or double up on the same person back to back it doesn't really matter.

Though at this rate and activeness we could be finished by this time next week.

Maybe we should cap it at one match per day for now? Wouldn't want to rush through this.

Sounds good, I'm happy to make it one battle per day, as long as everyone is cool with that.

It would mean I could have more time to do some table updates and stuff.

How many turns does sand last and does the turns take place once the Pokemon enters or after its left ? For example does the sand stay up as long as the Pokemon is in and once it leaves the turns begin or can the sand go away even when the hippowdown is still on the battlefield?

I guess I should look this up at some point

Best thing to do is make your team and use it in battles using Showdown.

The reality is, this really should be a romp for the other three in my group. I'm more used to my battles with one OP level Pokemon and everyone else with lower levels. It's pretty much how I do all my Pokemon, just capture them and Solo the game essentially.

I know what the answer is, no need for anything extra.

I have done some brushing up on the topic, but I can genuinely tell you that my actual competitive battling experience is rather minimal. Any battling that I have done is either with my current game team, my personal favourites, or some silly theme team (like all 6 water starters when Gen 6 came out). Actual proper staff? Nah.

This is legitimately my first time trying a sand team on the basis that I lost two of my favourites early on in the draft, I just decided, 'what the hell' and went that way. Everyone else was going to go for a good general mix (SM excluded, he seems to have his own crafty plan), so I figured I'd try something different and take the gamble there.

Well, I guess in a way, I am Leicester City, people know what the strategy is, but can they stop it? (Probably would, I don't know how well I could make it function anyway... I'm sure there are much, much better Sand Teams out there, this was the best I could do all things considered.)
