Sweet F.A PCL (Pokemon Champions League) - Season 23

I know what the answer is, no need for anything extra.

I have done some brushing up on the topic, but I can genuinely tell you that my actual competitive battling experience is rather minimal. Any battling that I have done is either with my current game team, my personal favourites, or some silly theme team (like all 6 water starters when Gen 6 came out). Actual proper staff? Nah.

This is legitimately my first time trying a sand team on the basis that I lost two of my favourites early on in the draft, I just decided, 'what the hell' and went that way. Everyone else was going to go for a good general mix (SM excluded, he seems to have his own crafty plan), so I figured I'd try something different and take the gamble there.

Well, I guess in a way, I am Leicester City, people know what the strategy is, but can they stop it? (Probably would, I don't know how well I could make it function anyway... I'm sure there are much, much better Sand Teams out there, this was the best I could do all things considered.)
What does the first line even mean lol I'm not picking up what you're putting down.

The first draft league I did on here I was only starting to get into competitive and I did surprisingly well given i didn't have much clue, the second one I did I was really confident but got no further than my first. This will be my third one think I'm more suited to using a team off of YouTube than one I built myself especially via a draft

Well, you either think it sucks, you don't like it, or a combination of both.

Ha ha, I know what you mean. I remember looking at those tier lists and was just baffled by it all. It just looks like the teams that were made were either very similar to each other with a strict formula, or well, just wouldn't be 'fun,' in the sense that it's not Pokemon I've really used nor really liked. In Competitive, you've got to put that all aside, and well, I'm not prepared for that.

As someone that would rather catch them and just base my opinions on what appeals to me, I do rank up levels pretty quickly due to searching for uncaught Pokemon, I remember reaching Level 100 on the way to the 8th Gym in XY.

I think the only Pokemon that I really do like in my current team is Latias, Keldeo, and Sylveon. Excadrill is pretty cool too, Clay used one, and I heard some excellent things about it. Garchomp and Excadrill were banned Pokemon in Gen 4 and Gen 5 respectfully, and were still performing well even now, so that's why I went with them (BTW, can my mascot Pokemon be Latias? She adds the cute and character to the team, lol. Would've preferred Latios in my team though. Swampert's another awesome one for me.)

I think you have the best team lol
I only started competitive when X and Y came out, I never played gen 4 or 5. Not surprised Excadrill was banned.
I learnt not to use favourite, I personally never liked charizard lol honestly I've never actually used a weavile and togekiss before

I don't know about that, just, did my best to find balance.
It came to a surprise to me since well, never used it. Only when I found out about Sand Rush... yeah.
Really? That's a surprise right there! Haven't used those two (though I was considering Weaville for my last Pokemon here)

Out of interest what's everyone's favourite Mon? Mines zangoose which is why I always use him
Oh god... that's a tough one.

Latios Number 1. Soul Dew and sound liking a freakin' jet... heck yeah.

Latias, Cresselia, Darkrai, Diancie, Shaymin-S (Normal Shaymin can go bite it), Lapras (really liked Lapras, and I feel its a great shame it has fallen out of favour), the Eevee family, the Blissey family, Swampert, Bellsprout, Ninetales line, Delphox line, and Dragonite line.

Pretty close to call, but I'll give it to Latios (I don't really like the Mega-Evo, seemed a cheap way to save on modelling, give me the Soul Dew anytime).

To be honest I've never enjoyed using legendaries for some reason. I guess since you get them coming up to the last gym so feel like a bit of a cheat.

I know what you mean with that. It just feels a little wrong. Which is why I feel very different with the Lati twins. (probably also helped that I watched Pokemon Heroes too... hey, it was a long time ago.)

It just felt great!

So you can imagine my joy when they got even more awesome in the Gen 3 remakes! Flying around Hoenn on a Latias/Latios? Hell yeah!

I've watched all the movies! Speaking of the movies, Lucario is probably my second favourite Mon to use.

Same gen 1 was the only time I did and I just love articuno mainly because it was the first one I caught but it looks awesome and ice beam was a cool move lol finding out it sucks competitivley hurt but finding out regular charizard sucked too made me feel better.

I've watched most of them. I couldn't find Pokemon Ranger, haven't seen the duel versions of Black/White, or the Genesect one, and haven't seen the others since the Diancie one.

Lucario is also a fun one to use! One of my favourites too. Though I have to admit only once I did Pokemon Mystery Dungeon with a Rilou did I really find fondness in using the Lucario line (and as you can imagine, yes, I have used a team that consisted of my PMD team plus extras to make the 6).

Really liked the designs of the Legendary Birds! Felt cold about Mewtwo and Mew. Charizard was all the rage back then, even to the Trading Card game.

Who could forget this?

Gamefreak knew full well with they were doing, lol. Think the original set sells for like $50 on ebay or something.

Not much point watch black and white, heard they're essentially the same. I'm watching them as I watch the anime, though struggling to find a few eps that are missing from the final XYZ season.

Had to buy the whole series form the itunes store as soon as it came out, for the kids

I guess that's true, though its a bit weird that they would've had it set out like that.

Then again... speaking of animes that used the exact same story line with just slight differences to the scenes... Endless Eight... Aargh.

I find getting the episodes a bit of a potluck. Sometimes, you've got access to entire seasons in good viewing conditions, and at other times, it just completely disappears without a trace. It's a bit of luck to get the stuff you want in decent quality.

I found a good torrent site for earlier seasons, and the last few have been available on the site I use for most shows (plus Netflix had the first two xy seasons).

Don't use torrents myself, though I might have to try further external sources to find the episodes I'm keen to see.

Think the last few episodes of XYZ only came out last month, didn't they?

Also scary to think we're closing in on 1000 Pokemon Episodes.

About 20 bucks for the whole series in the apple store

Yeah it did, a website I use for TV shows had them up each week, but seemed to miss the odd episode which was weird.

I do enjoy that each series Ash seems to get progressively closer to winning the Pokemon League, because that's the only sign of progression over the show haha.

And the funny thing is that he's only apparently turned 11 as of SM lol.

But yeah, he's getting there. Surely he wins SM considering the situation of how the Pokemon League is done there, just like he did in the Orange Islands , which is suspiciously similar in the idea and concept. (Calling it now, he wins the Aloha league.)

Doesn't he turn 11 in the 3rd movie? Or is that not 'canon'?

But they acknowledge that he's 11 now in that show?

I don't remember that, but then again, the movies are rarely, if ever, treated as canon. I think there's like... a couple of instances maybe?

I think I heard that he was going to get acknowledge of this in the SM series, I think I read about it, but I'm not sure if it has taken place.
