Like I said somewhere earlier in the thread, this served as nothing more than a test run to gauge where we are at. It was late notice and it will be vastly improved upon in Season 23.

Only problem is it penalises the active teams. If you do this, all clubs must have equal numbers of voters. And hand-picking voters takes it away from being a players award. Not voting for yourself is fair, though

It's a discussion I'm having with The Filth Wizard about all possible ways to do it. There is about 5 different reasons for doing it with/without self/team voting. Hand selection and open voting are also on the table as well with a lot of reasons for/against.

Everyone feel free to chime in with your ideal system and reasonings

That's correct. In a perfect world every player who is a regular contributor votes but that not possible. I hand picked players who I though would not only take it serious, but who I trusted to be as honest an unbiased as possible.

There isn't a perfect solution.
