It is exactly the reason.

To be fair. With everything we know about Sydney, the expectation that he become this perfect angel to create this "kid from the wrong side of the track makes good" narrative is a bit unrealistic and sets him up to fail.

He was always going to make mistakes along the way.

Everyone knows that Sydney needed strong mentors with a structured environment to keep him on track.

I am not in the least surprised that he has struggled this year, given all reports that he did zero work during the COVID break, came back unfit, and now has gone and done this given their is no second's league to keep him occupied. Devil finds work for idle hands.

Everyone knows that Tigers took a risk with Stack. A risk is by definition something that has a high probability of not working out.

I wouldn't go and say "look at everything we did for you and you spat it back in our face".

He royally f’ed up, but this year was always going to be hardest on folks like Sydney that need a bit of extra guidance.

He should get sent home, be sent the bill for the fine that he can pay off over 12 months, and him and CCJ can front up to the footy dept staff who have all lost their jobs and taken pay cuts to keep the club going and hear how they feel about it.

After that, start again with him in pre-season, and if he hasn't pulled his head next year, the Tigers know they have done everything they possibly can, but it's time to go separate ways.
Good comments. There have been examples of wayward young players needing correction at times to get them back on track, Dusty being one. Let’s not completely trash these lads, they will pay the price and hopefully become better people and players as a result.

We might be waiting a while for Stack to repay the fine if his broke ass can’t cover two kebabs :drunk:

TBH that’s the bit that has me most concerned. Especially if it was his shout.

Imagine how asterisk the season would become if they deducted four crucial points from the premiership favourites. Would the AFL want to damage the integrity of this season even further?
Haha don't buy into this media hysteria about docked points, it will never happen.

FFS Essendon systemically doped their players and the AFL didn't have the balls to actually dock points.

Said to my misses, maybe they were fighting each other because it seems strange they were the only two arrested and have facial injuries.

Thinking one of them got ejected and the other got pissed off and it then escalated outside.

Anyway, we will know soon enough if others were involved or was just between them two!

It doesn't seem too bad if that's true

**** ive figured it out

Kebab business is going broke so the owner sees 2 footy players and decides to get some drunk pies flog to have a melt and fight Stack.
He tells the cops and the leaks the details to the news.

Now his shop is the front page of world news and will have millions of people wanting to go to the place where Sydney Stack fought some campaigner over a kebab.

#kebabgate

20 and 21! Bet they'd be feeling pretty stupid and embarrassed today! I'd back in they'll be on the next plane home with maybe an idiot fine! But I'd also back in our club to use this as an educational experience and not hang them out to dry! Just as we did with Broad and we did with Dusty!
