I think we can forget about Bradshaw, Bolton & Seaby playing again this year. Even if Bolton and Seaby get back they're not going to have any sort of impact because of the nature of their injuries. Bradshaw may be a different story but I doubt we'll see him again this year.

I'd certainly include Bird alongside Bradshaw, Seaby and C Bolton as missing from our best 22.

Bolts is doing some serious running for the first time in a long time. He is such a proud and dedicated man that if he could he would be out there tomorrow. If has been a very difficult winter for him. I honestly don't know whether he will be back this year and even if he is whether it is worth the risk. One thing is for sure he will not go out this way and will use the off season to come back as we know he can.

You have to realise that the incident against the West Coast could have easily resulted in a snapped archilles. If I wanted to be criticial then I would have to say he struggled for weeks beforehand but Bolts isn't the sort of bloke to so no the medical staff should have.

Anyway thats my 2 cents

It was obvious to those of us watching him in the lead up weeks that he was struggling with some kind of injury.

No doubt it goes on at every club to some extent, but the Swans seem intent - and have done for years - on playing their more experienced players regardless of whether they are in fit shape to be playing. McVeigh and O'Keefe at the moment must surely be carrying injuries. Goodes has taken the field when he could barely run. Crouch we know played through many injuries and probably carried them well in his earlier years but wasn't effective at the end playing so sore. Kennelly has been useless at times when he tried to come back too soon from serious injuries, especially to his knees.

It's probably Ed Barlow they are always confused

I just spoke to Daniel Bradshaw
& in his words "he's aiming to be
back in Round 20.
I heard someone speak to Bradshaw at the North game, he said he expected to be back for this game (Geelong).

Chance for Currie ?

You mad bedford?

Why play a promising young, specialist ruckman when we can just use Jesse White and not replace him with any real forwards?

There's no way that will fail.

Seriously though, if he's at all decent we need to play him to increase his trade value. Maybe they're worried he'll suck and bring it down.

Me mad, of course i am. Maybe we could through Ryce Shaw in there as he seems to have no position at the minute, put him in the ruck instead of a new ruckman.

Seaby 2-3 weeks -> SEASON!

From the Swans Facebook:

"Mark Seaby has just been ruled out for the season. The fracture in his left ankle has healed well, but he now has to have surgery to remove bone spurs from his ankle joint. He'll have surgery next week. It's a blow but it's best for Mark to get it all right and be ready for 2011."

Also: Seaby ruled out for season

Injuries AND the draw has killed our chances this season ... never say die until the end but things continue to shape for the worse.

Pity as it woulda been nice to send the coach off with a few good wins.
