Pies blocking the space

Dee's were doing it last week and chose the right speedy players to block the space with. Worked well in a wet night swans will need to find a way to counter that kind of defensive setup without doing an extra at the back for a switch which is a bit predictable. One way would be to draw in those players somehow to create a bit of space just behind them, or to set it up from the kick in by going to the middle short to a running team mate which has yielded 3 goals this match so far.

Much better quarter. Pressure picked up immensely and cut off their short options. Probably didn't get the result for our dominance but hopefully we finish the game off well. Florent. Lloyd, Maclean. Papley and most of the team lifted.

I think that's the difference between where we are at (bottom 10 side currently improving much faster than expected) and where we obviously want to be (top 4)

Great hands Wolfy. Great hands. That's what we need from a key target.

I really like his hunger to compete Ted. Just a good kid who is out there playing a game he loves and has the right attitude for the sport. Also the fact that he has not dropped his head a couple of times this year when dropped when it was not warranted and come back every time and performed. Has some fortitude the boy.

Has footy smarts.
