Well lets be honest. They weren't the clear standout team last year. There were about 4 or 5 teams that could have won the premiership. They had a lot of luck. So who is surprised that they are struggling atm?

No Sydney were the best team in the 2005 finals series. They did not win the minor premiership so they were not the best side in the season proper.

I don't like threads like this, although there's absolutely no excuse not to win comfortably. At least it wasn't a Swans fan who started the thread.

All true long-standing Swans fans know that when everyone gets there most pumped up & people come literally from around the country to be part of it all, that it is on these sort of days that they are more than likely to stuff up.
It was embarrasing to see dignitories like Bobby Skilton Paul Kelly David Murphy et al all there in celebration of us finally breaking the culture of scratching for survival we have etched for ourselves at South/Sydney, but only to see that sort of flat effort.

The thing is, today was probably something many of them have been part of before.
