No injuries (touchwood), no suspensions, no change?

Probably the first time for the year.

Maybe change the sub, not sure why Longmire is persisting with Clarke given he seems too scared to deploy him, when the sub should be used to our advantage when used tactically.

I don't get the Clarke sub either but we don't have many other options at the moment. Happy to roll with one of the youngsters as the sub just to get them some experience in seniors.

From the oxford dictionary...

Cake

2. an item of savoury food formed into a flat round shape, and typically baked or fried.
"a starter of goat's cheese and potato cakes"

What I will comment on is that scallop is a better culinary description because it comes from the French word escaloper, meaning to cut in fine slices. A potato cake is not, in fact, a cake. It would be best described, however, as a potato fritter, as they do in South Australia.

Definately not a cake, it is not mixed in a batter then baked.

Also this is true;
The best potato scallop/cake/fritter in the nation is possibly made in the Victorian town of Beechworth, where slices of potato are pre-boiled in salted water with a little garlic and rosemary before being dipped in batter and fried to order.

Sauce: Potato cakes v potato scallops: which state is correct?

Potato Scallop, cake, fritter....... Who gives a crap!
bottom line is a TRUE supporter of the SYDNEY Swans, no matter where they reside, will call it a potato scallop, just like they call beer in a big glass a schooner, a small glass a middy etc..

The only exception goes to all those that followed the South Melbourne Swans and still support the Swans in Sydney.. Their loyalty is elite and hence can call food, drink and anything else,, whatever they like

Essendon's last 5 games

Loss 9.7.61
Loss 10.14.74
Win 17.13.115
Loss 7.3.45.
Loss 7.7.49

Leaving out the Adelaide win, they are struggling to put up a winning score averaging just over 8 goals a game.

Can't see where this would improve this week, so shouldn't have a problem holding them to under 70 points while putting a decent score up ourselves.

I reckon 4-5 goal win coming up.

With or without potato scallops.

You lot want a taste sensation? Next parma you get, have them put a couple of potato cakes under the ham and cheese. Cant beat it.

Nice username for the best salt flavour

Scallops vs cake is really highlighting how many Vic based fans we have.

Btw it's scallop. Compare a potato cake to a carrot cake, chocolate cake or cheesecake and you see why it's not potato cake
You are wrong.

Scallops come from the ocean...

Scalloped potatoes are a whole different thing...

What about a pancake? Compare that to a carrot cake, chocolate cake or cheesecake & you see why a potato cake IS a potato cake & not seafood.

Been a while since I've been to the footy - appreciate some ticketing help.

Ticketmaster only showing a handful of GA reserved seating options (L3 behind the goals at the Coventry end) - is that because there are still others to be released? Or because most of the ticketing will be unreserved GA?

Thanks
Anyone?
