He liked to trash talk on field a lot. Had some favourite targets - pretty sure Scott Camporeale was one of them.I didn't know that. What a campaigner.

Who was it on our team who decided to call the opposition "green" something or other, instead of "black", to get around vilification rules. I can't remember the while story, but all clubs have to do better, including ours.
I linked Sonja's thread on Jimmy Krakouer above and in respect of the existing content it makes a lot of sense to use it for comments relevant to this class action.Does this need it's own thread?
It will likely be a huge. If successful, it won't stop at Aboriginal players either.
Surprise mother ****ers… Aussies are racist… who’d have thought? Smack me down with a feather. Incredible, who’d have thought? The media report this as an "explosive racism" claim as if it is a shock that racism exists in the AFL (or more broadly in sports and society). Or is it explosive because they never considered such a class action would ever be launched?
Oh, now they are unfair, hey Robbo?
Day longer than expected. Robbo mustn't work weekends. What a shock, the Essendon Media Mafia out to protect the old racist piece of s**t.
Well well well.
Racist dog Sheedy coached his racist dog players like Duckworth and Daniher to abuse Phillip and Jimmy.
Now he denied it the lying old soak.
And of course the Essenscum back him.
As long as Essendon keep this turn on their board - RACIST CLUB
If he’s serious he should.
We employed him.
We knew he was racially abused.
We seemingly did nothing.
I distinctly remember a game at the G in the mid-80s where it was blatantly obvious from the first bounce that the Essendon players were instructed to upset Jimmy.
Whilst clearly not being able to hear what they were saying, you didn’t have to be Einstein to work out what was going on. As a young 13 or 14 year-old sitting in top deck Bay 15 of the old Southern Stand, my response to witnessing Jimmy’s treatment remains vivid - “Sheedy, you f$&!ing racist”.
It is somewhat hard to understand given Sheedy’s embrace and championing of First Nations players in recent decades. Perhaps there was an awakening in him once he saw the hurt in Michael Long - unfortunately, that was too late for Phil and Jimmy.

Is there a sheedy statue somewhere we can behead
The awakening was he could win with a couple of indigenous boys on the list.I distinctly remember a game at the G in the mid-80s where it was blatantly obvious from the first bounce that the Essendon players were instructed to upset Jimmy.

The rest was marketing.Yep, if you can't beat them or sledge them enough to win, join them
The rest was marketing.
You can tell by the response now
