With all this top end talent he’s been working with recently, what’s the chances we’ve got one eye on him as our future Head Coach?

Having been successful at VFL level already and doing an apprenticeship with these lads would make sense to do a Pagan type transition into the top job eventually.

Clarko’s recent talk is that he’s looking to hand over (probably earlier than expected) so perhaps start the transition in 2026 to full time in 2027.

What’s people’s thoughts?

Barlow could well end up a head coach. I seriously doubt anyone at the club has given a thought to any sort of succession plan, no matter how far in to the future that might be.

We've had our eyes on Heath Younie as Clarkson's successor for a while.

I think he’s our next premiership coach.

I must have missed it. Where did Clarko say he was looking at an early handover?

Yeah that's a good way to look at it and if that did transpire that might be the way to go. When Alastair went to the US a couple of years ago it was to increase his knowledge of teams sports and tactics, he is a very driven man and I would be shocked if he was to give it away in the next couple of years, he has unfinished business, I've got a feeling he can now see something quite special brewing at North, something very special indeed! ;)
