If you want to comment on stuff at least know what’s you’re talking about. Parish is a free agent at the end of the season.
huh? Im pretty sure the nuffy poster on your board, key word “was” happy. Not IS happy. Bottom 4 for you campaigners. Brad Will destroy your club and set you back another 10 years. Good luck with post season top ups

That’s not what the comment said though. It was referring to having 2 top 6 picks at the draft. Essendons own pick, followed by parish compensation.

Fair enough. If your initial whinge in this thread was more articulate, we wouldn't have had this to and fro.

I mean, it's not as if I have the slightest interest in visiting your board to check.

You should read what they’re saying about Parish,
“Hopefully just played his worst game of the year.
He looked hungry last week and nonplussed this week. He would want to be careful, don't think Scott will hesitate to drop him for that.”

LOL Brad never drops anyone.

Can't wait to hear what cliche's Scott drops in the presser.
Read this in Brad's voice:

"It was a bitterly disappointing performance today. We wanted to execute a simple game plan that revolved around stoppages and bringing the ball forward through the contest and I thought although we were okay at times, we didn't use the ball cleanly and clearly we have to come up with some quick fixes."

"The Saints are a fantastic side with lots of upside and they will trouble a few teams with their attack on the ball."

"I think we can improve and maybe change it up in the middle to give us some flexibility especially around stoppages."

"Every day I am building a deeper relationship with the players and I think that will continue into the season as we develop."

"My time as coach at Essendon thus far has been a very positive experience and I think they are a fantastic club with a rich history. They are giving me every opportunity to improve my coaching and improve the quality of the playing group."

"We should be aiming for twelve wins and see how far we can go from there. I think we are a real chance to trouble some teams but we have to get better at doing the simple things."

I can't keep going this is actually cringe.

That'll last till round 6 2024.

I genuinely can't tell if these are real or if you just made these up or even repurposed old quotes from his time with us.

Some of it is repurposed, some of it is inspired by how much he used to suck off the opposition and some of it is just what he would say every week but with variances.

It's just the same crap but in a different sentence essentially. You can watch a clip from anywhere between 2013-16 and get a pretty good idea of how he says things. It's just memorising the stuff he says on repeat!

Ah **** it I'm gonna commit to this.

"I thought we had some momentum in the first quarter but then we couldn't take our opportunities around goal. The boys were given a harsh lesson on making the most of your chances when they come."

"Our second quarter wasn't what we wanted to see and some players didn't execute the role they were given. Credit to the Saints as they kept pressuring us and I felt we lost a bit of momentum."

"The 6-6-6 rule is still proving to be a challenge for us as we continue to adjust our structures. I think as the team gains more experience the easier it is for our backs to withstand the pressure."

"If we end the game at quarter time, we win."

"The inaccurate kicking for goal will sort itself out as I think it's about the confidence of the playing group. We'll go back and assess the tape but I think it should be an easy fix."

"If we swap the numbers around, we beat the Saints so I think it's not alarm bells but we have to be competitive when it matters."

"I was pretty confident in our structures and thought we didn't really need to change things much but if we can somehow get some flexibility from our players I think that can be a real benefit."

"We will go back and review what we need to work on with the players but it's still early days so I'm not too concerned."

"Hopefully we're in good shape by Round 1 so we can show what we've been working on during the pre-season. There's always the opportunity to improve and grow as a team before the season starts."

"I have a lot of faith in the senior leaders and I think they are a fantastic role model for the young players. We require them to uphold the high standards and support the team however they can."

Here are some real ones. Which Scotts do you prefer?

Mr Rd 1:

"We've said a number of times we may be vulnerable at times game-to-game and quarter-to-quarter, because youth finds it hard to sustain," he said.

"But that certainly doesn't mean we're going to accept it. We'll make the necessary changes to make sure we get the guys who can sustain their effort a little better."

Mr surprise June win:
"You can play 50 to 70 games of footy and not experience those three tight losses that we had earlier this year.

"While they were bitterly disappointing, they were great experiences for us to learn and grow from and we've clearly done that.

"That doesn't mean that we're not vulnerable to teams coming over the top of us, because every team's vulnerable."

Mr October:
“We’re very clear on the type of players we need to complement our current list, so if we identify that player, we’ll go as hard as we possibly can for them,” Scott said.

“But if not, we’re happy to continue to develop our list because we know we have some talented players.”

Quality. You must have PTSD from the Brad Scott snake oil!

I was at the in-laws this morning to help them with a laptop issue. We discussed the St Kilda win yesterday and my mother in-law mentioned that she can't see * doing well this year (all good on that front) but she feels a bit sorry for poor Brad.

Is she completely alone in her thoughts about this?
