I backed Black Caviar on the weekend. That horse is going to be something special.

This horse is a freak. Will be interesting to see how she measures up down the straight on Saturday against Manhattan Rain. I reckon Black Caviar will win but Manhattan Rain will have her when they stretch out to 1600m though.

I wonder if Sassafras got on Sassafras Boy in the first at Doomben today, will be disappointed if he did.

Picked the winner in the first and the last on Saturday but very little in between. Still ended up for the day thanks to the nice return of $10.60 on Irish Lights in the first. She is one to watch for the thousand guineas. Got home very nicely.

Omen bet Daads boy at Cranbourne race 7 at Cranbourne came home for me and Lar Ta Lad did me proud only two bets for day saw me come out with a handy profit.

Surkin i remeber you naming Black Caviar a few months ago to watch is this true????

Note: Cannot be bothered looking through threads.

No good backing a 100-1 shot if it is not going to win.

I back winners whatever they are paying. WBGY will tomorrow and win well. You will probably get 3s, that is value for a certainty.

The group 1's are here :D

My tips for Caulfield tomorrow. Good punting everyone.

Race 1
Trifecta 1,3/1,3,4/Field
Tough Race. Stoneback(1) is always competitive and Tribunal(3) looks a promising horse. Will bank on them two to finish top 2 and hopefully something of value sneaks home for third.

Race 2
Trifecta 1,4/1,4,6,7/1,2,4,6,7
Romneya(1) the obvious choice. Kent has won this race the last two reays and Parita(4) looks in good form. Hopefully those two fight out the finish. Lamarr(6) meets Romneya better in the weights so than half length loss in MV classic so she should be pressing in the finish too.

Race 3
Quinella 6/8,12
First Command(6) has won last 6 starts and this looks similar quality. No reason he won't win again. Rightfully Yours(8) and Huxssen(12) to fight it out for second.

Race 4
Win 6 (Irish Lights)
Got me the win in the first two weeks ago at 10's so will stick with her. Headway(3) and Clocked(15) look the main dangers.

Race 5
Win 2 (Manhattan Rain)
So keen on this horse. One of my big tips for the spring. Apparently work has not been the best since coming to Melbourne but he looks the class horse in the field. Should get some decent odds too.

Race 6
Box Trifecta 2,3,6,10,16,18
Hard to pick a winner in the first group one of the day so ended up boing a few I liked. If I was pushed to pick a winner I would go Gold Salute(3) but just too open. Famous Roman(16) offers the best value but the barrier draw worries me.

Race 7
Trifecta 11,12,16/11,12,14,16/3,9,10,11,13,14,15
Good betting race this one. WBGY(12) should be a lock for a top 2 spot. Most of these horses are setting themselves for further down the carnival so tried to include the horses who are better suited to this distance.

Race 8
Each Way 15
Valocitea(15) was good first up three weeks ago finishing second. Most of the other main chances are fresh and don't like backing fresh horses so have gone with each way bet on the 15.

Race 9
Win 3
Don't like jumping off a favourite who won for me last time in Speed Gifted(17) but I think Light Vision(3) looks primed to win here. Was a good 2nd last start carrying a stack of weight.

Quaddy
3,10,16,18/11,12,16/1,2,15/3,7,10,12
Due for a change of luck in the quaddy after narrowly missing out on a 17% share of the $70K on Wednesday.

Rosehill

Race 7
Box Quinella 2,7
Two horses I am keen on in O'Lohnro(2) and Drumbeats(7).

Quinella
1,2/4,7,9/2,7/3,5,6,7,11
Hopefully something of value can win the last.

I just had $100 on him at $5.50 with Mark Read. Might go again later on if that price holds up.

Bit of a fishing story, but i went to have $50 on him at $41 earlier in the year but thought better of it, two weeks later he was in to single figures. **** it!

BTW, Paul Chapman is huge odds for the Norm Smith next week. $13 with Mark Read, not sure about Sportsbet but i'd imagine about the same. Ridiculous odds for a bloke playing almost perfect football.

Aaron Davey
Sam Mitchell
Chris Judd
Dane Swan
Brett Deledio
Brent Harvey
Aaron Sandilands
Lenny Hayes
Adam Goodes

All to poll most votes for their club.

It’s paying $47. All of them are short $1.05 - $1.70, except Lenny Hayes is $7.50 for a bit of value.

Will be whacking $5 on it & $10 on the same multi without Hayes @ $6.50, to hedge myself a little.
