Who does everyone like in the thousand guineas today? Was going to have a crack at Gallica. Good win in the Manifold. Thoughts????

Easy on the female jockeys saint leo. Lindop has been in great form.

Michelle Payne should be okay too. Her brother Patty Payne is one of the best jockeys ever, just too big though.

Yeah her and lindop are ok, i just dont like backing female jockeys. Like the NZ one thay came over to ride Miss Finland in the cox plate a few years back.

Patty Payne was good, michelle is prob second best in the family out of the 8 or however many kids it is.

Bang! Great ride by Ollie 1 back and 1 across. Was never going to lose when it let go at the turn. Another $150 in the kitty.

saint leo what are your thoughts on red ruler tomorrow? Got the inside barrier so should be able to settle midfield and switch off. Another I am considering is Zagreb.

Good form behind cox plate fav princess coup but hard to really judge the NZ form, looks good value and those odds along with zagreb.
I think littorio will win but for my super stable i need to trade pompeii ruler, already have littoro and zagreb so think i might go the hussler cos should still win the cox plate even if fails here. I dont think master oreilly can beat better field then last year with extra 6.5kg.

1st- Weekend Hussler (2 lengths)
2nd-Littorio
tie for 3rd-Riva San & Duoro Valley

Weekend Hussler is the best horse in Aus, is bred to stay, forget last start-it had bad barrier-sat wide the whole way-rawiller butchered the ride and switched off with 100m to go...Ross Mcdonald wouldnt waste such a good horse on a race he doesnt think it can win-

Littorio- Perfect preperation and can't really fault. Don't think it will quite have the turn of foot to go with Hussler in the concluding stages

Riva San & Duoro Valley both good each way bets who are running well.
Duoro will be right on the pace and won't let anything past it without a fight.

Good read Scottie although Riva San has about as much chance as placing as Peter Siddle does of getting a hattrick on debut.

Am having a look at the early races at the moment.

Race 1 - Movin' Out is a certainty. Coming back from the Manifold where it did not get a run will be way too classy.

Race 2 - Estee. First time at the 2000m but out of Redoutes Choice so should handle the distance no worries. Main danger is Rocha

Thoughts scottie?

First race is pretty tough Movin Out does have the class factor and didnt have much luck last start... Not entirely convinced it's a good horse though. Look for Mine Game to be flying home but i'll be staying away from that race

The 2nd is a tough race also
Just to let you know all the horses are first time over 2000m so that makes it hard to work out which horses can stay the distance
Estee will be thereabouts and i dont mind Think Money for a bit of value as it flew home late last start which makes me think it'll be looking for more distance. My money will be on Testa Monte though i think it's the best horse in the race and if it can handle the 58kg it'll be my first of many winner for the day
