saw the youngest one (i think it's Brad? bout 23-26y.o curly black hair?) on the weekend and has been in the same paddock as ALMOST DONE by the looks of it.
the eldest brother has been a good footier for the Hoppers over the years, dunno if he played in the two's on the weekend or not.

I think not.

MWV, interested to know if the dogs still have zero players up to senior standard ?

Yes, well obviously my maths skills arent up to scratch. Thurgoona played a verry good game and are sertantly on the up

Congratulations to Thurgoona for a super start to 07' & best of luck for the rest of the season. I just hope you guys haven't started celebrating too early

!!!!!! Round 4 and a couple of great games likely this week.
The obvious highlight is the Kiewa v Mitta match, whilst Beechworth v Chiltern should be a beauty also. Absolutely fantastic to see the TDFL shaping up as a very wide open comp.

I don't think the boys are celebrating at all, in fact they are very focused on backing it up against Wodonga Saints Saturday. I just think the majority on here want the cynics to pull their head in and offer an apology in relation to some of the rash statements/criticism's that were thrown at them leading into the season. :thumbsu:
I agree however that the Kiewa V Mitta will be a cracker with Kiewa travelling along nicely and Mitta wanting some redemption. Beechworth certainly are travelling along ok and I reckon might come up trumps Saturday. Heard from a high profile Chiltern player last weekend that it's not all smooth sailing down the Hume Highway at present.
I expect Wodonga Saints won't lay down either to be honest. Always been a fierce competition between Thurgoona and Saints, and don't expect it to be any different on the weekend.
Good luck to all.

After a dismal 3 from 5 games last week, I'll have another go:
Rutherglen to beat Tallangatta by 25
Yack to beat Dederang by 58
Thurgoona to beat Saints by 28
Chiltern to beat Beechworth by 32
And the big one.....................
Kiewa to beat Mitta by 40

I don't think we're going to here from Mountain Man MTAG, he appears to have taken the soft option and gone silent. It'd be good to hear from him though as I'm very interested to see whats next to come from the mouth of the Mittaologist. :D

The soft option, harsh call but I'll cop it. Have been away all week trapping dingo's and skinning foxes. I will answer the two most asked questions now. Firstly, all credit to Thurgoona, Mitta had there chances and didnt take them. Umpires and players out are no excuses at all. We were beaten fair and square, Thurgoona have go some handy players. I'm sure Thurgoona are very happy with there win and so they should be. As for the Cameron/knight topic. Mitta won't play any different then they do any other week. Someone did hit the nail on the head saying that the 4 points are the most important thing. A loss here would see the boys running mid field, a win is a must.

good to hear from you mm. finally got your foot out of your mouth i see. well said above but you'll be making excuses by monday when the mighty hawks remind you how to play football. CARN THE HAWKS!!!!!

Just getting off Thurgoona for a minute;a couple of interesting movements player wise with Tim kindellan going back to KSC.has played seniors all year in the undefeated Wodonga senior side;and Jim Hodgkin playing with Mitta.

Mountain Man just wanted to know if a Lawrence Hodgkin is still playing senior football.
If so he must be one of the oldest players kicking around in regional football, must be pushing up to 50 is he?

If Lawrence saw that he would be incredibly insulted for 2 reasons:

1. You asked if he was still playing

2. You even mentioned 50!!:D

But yes is still running around the park in the 1's and is still quite the trusty backman

well the hawks showed they have to work harder and that mitta are up there....i watched the seconds before hand and sure a really good game....just wondering when are mitta going to get new jumpers for there poor old seconds players???? fancy having medical tape for numbers??? stop spending money on tourist's and spend on the locals......kiewa fought hard in the 2's but just looked un fit......

Reggie I think both teams have there share of tourists, Kiewa just had a lot more passengers. Jumpers I think are a personal choice like a baggy green. It's up to the player to decide when it's time to get a new one. In the 2's Kiewa were beaten by a better team on the day.
I'm a Kiewa supporter.

Coach Dicketts quite happy this morning to get off the duck egg. Can't imagine his Yack counterpart would be the same and with Purcell getting reported for abusing the umpire (i'm told) Yack may be in trouble, fancy a player having their wedding during footy season. Bad form. Big Rosco can't be happy with that decision. This loss will put a big dint in their top 3 hopes you would think.

Didn't think Lawrence would be the type of bloke to get insulted easily.
I thought he'd have a smile from ear to ear knowing that someone was talking about him. [ Other than himself. ]:D
